Low cost v BA across the Atlantic has a history of failure, remember Laker ? There will always be a market for low cost but long haul has got to be the domain of the legacy carriers and not many across the pond do it better than BA (first class excluded) just hope Biden will give the go ahead soon BA needs the revenue and I need the SP to go above £2.
RE: Just in it for the profit ....... aren't we all!5 Aug 2021 17:38
I know for one I am in this share purely for profit first in at 47 should off bought many more at that price unfortunately did buy in again a few times and average now about 82 want it to get back to the £1.20 before I get out, could be a wait but with some brilliant new films being released later in the year and with autumn and winter approaching, providing we have no new lockdowns/restrictions in the later part of 2021 and early 2022 it could a rewarding time for Cine and hopefully it's shareholders.
Is the SP flat because investors are waiting for results later in the month ? with Cineworld open seems bizarre that we are almost 50% below what we were when we were closed (March)
Jtan I was not solely referring to BA but a general increase in flights by a number of carriers, I think as IAG shareholders (do you hold any IAG shares?)we are pleased to see our aircraft flying once more and that IAG will return to profitability in the near future.
Checking my flightradar24 today certainly a big increase in flights in the South East, predominantly BA, Easyjet, Ryanair, Jet2 a few Tui and KIM seem to be active on the Amsterdam routes.
School holidays, rain rain and more rain, great day to go the cinema. Still a tad disappointed today after the euphoria about the RNS, always next week.
No comment from Boo yet, would of been encouraging to have heard something from them let's face it it's not the first time something has been reported, it really does make you think that something isn't right. I'm glad I sold out 50% of my holding some time ago and my prediction of £2.15 earlier in the week may not of been too far out. Been very little news about the new factory recently is that still happening ?
I actually believe that a lot of Americans like to fly Trans Atlantic with BA, certainly if you are travelling coach/economy BA service is far superior to most American carriers. I have flown United to S F absolutely disgraceful, B A has its faults but I certainly prefer to 'Fly the Flag' (I know that's an old slogan but will bring back memories for some ) Fingers crossed for a good day tomorrow.
Small fry here but 8000 shares, first bought in at 42p but average is now 87p out at £1.10 + all funds towards new Ducati Panigale V2 ( also in IAG, Boo, Hammerson and Cine)
