Cadbury workers in Britain and Ireland have a lot to fear from a Kraft takeover........Kraft have a poor record in investment and jobs in UK confectionary......Terrys factory closed with 300 job losses in York.......Callard and Bowser toffee and Meltis Newberry Fruits & turkish Delight UK factories were closed down lines discontinued......Kraft produce no confectionary at all in the UK......All Terrys, Toblerone, Malabo and Suchard confectionary is produced in Switzerland, Germany and Poland......including Terrys Orange and All Gold.......Krafts European HQ was moved from Cheltenham UK to Switzerland.......The British economy needs this deal like a hole in the head......Good bye Great Britain.....

Cadburys is British culture personified.......in Ireland, Austrailia and India......the world over in fact.......Britain would be very much the poorer culturally to sell out Cadbury........Are you listening RBS, Legal & General. Kraft are so desperate to buy Cadbury on the cheep.....they have now sold their Pizza business to Nestle in a fire sale.....This will raise the cash element in an already derisorary offer.....Kraft know if they dont takeover Cadbury they themselves will be in play from nil growth performance......The Pound v Dollar at the moment flatters Krafts offer......this wont last with the oil price now north of $80.00 a barrel and rising......pressuring the dollar......My prediction as stand alone business Cadbury SP will be £16.00 on a three year view.......Back a great British success story by saying no to Krafts derisory offer.......Remember Kraft have a very poor recent history in UK.......Moving their Cheltenham Europrean HQ to Switzerland and closing down Terrys factory in York with 300 job losses......Kraft Terrys produce no confectionary in the UK now......FACT!.......Rememer Callard and Bowser toffee and Meltis turkish delight......Kraft discontinued these lines......Kraft have a poor history in brand innovation........

I hold both GoAhead and Optare shares......I am proud to own both these wonderful British companies......GoAhead was formed in the North East of England from the management/workers buyout of the then nationalised Northern General bus company.......and are a hugely successful. company......Optare are one of GoAheads largest suppliers of buses......Sadly, GoAhead London General subsiduary recently placed a 76 vehicle double deck order with rival companies from Ireland/Sweden......places of the world GoAhead have no operations......the loss of this order to Optare will probably result in closure of Optares Blackburn plant.....GoAhead dont owe anyone a free lunch......but in this recession, for a successful company like GoAhead to place work overseas at the expence of British manufacturing is very disapointing indeed!

Question to Ceo GoAhead Group.......does your company have any bus operations in Belfast-Ireland, Stockholm-Sweden, Munich-Germany or Warsaw-Poland......the answer is no......Sadly your company spends most of its fleet renewal money on vehicles from foriegn manufacturers in these locations......UK manufacturer Alexander Dennis yesturday announced they were making a third of their workforce redundant.......the very people who use GoAheads services day in day out.......I remember a day not so long ago when my local GoAhead, North Tyneside, Norham road bus depo was crammed full of British AlexanderDennis/Plaxton and Roe/Optare vehicles.....not now its a Mercedes/Volvo/Scania dealership.......Its all very sad a successful North East based British company cant support workers in Scotland, Blackburn and Leeds......very very sad indeed

Kraft were the misguided company that bought the struggling Swiss Jacobs Suchard chocolate business after it failed to buy Rowntree Mackintosh......Suchard realised it could not compete in global confectionary with the big boys Nestle/Rowntree, Mars and Cadbury-saw Kraft coming and flogged itself to them.....What has Kraft done with Suckhard since nothing it seems.....lost market share, no brand inovation, sold its gum business to Cadbury, closed Terrys of York down with 300 job losses and persists in selling us Toblerone an awkward confection that tares ones gums to pieces......

Cadbury will double in size on a five year view with emerging markets; India, China, Eastern Europe and Latin America being the drivers...... Wrigley had to sell itself to Mars because of the threat of Cadburys gum business....Now Wrigley are losing market share hand over fist to Cadbury in the UK chewing gum market with the successfull launch of Trebor Extra Strong gum......Kraft have not been able to grow their Suchard confectionary business and should be selling it to Cadbury not vice versa......This reminds me of the Rowntree Mackintosh takeover in 1988 a disaster for UK jobs and business.

Did you know Kraft closed Terrys chocolate factory in York with the loss of 300 jobs and now make all Terrys chocolates on the continent. Moved their European HQ from Cheltenham UK to the lower tax dom. of Switzerland and list their shares in Franfurt and are advised by Deutche Bank.

Kraft have to offer cash for Cadbury. Their frail stock and depreciating US dollar currency is going down like a lead baloon with investors..... Hence the panic from Kraft to bolster there cash position by the fire sale of their coffee business Maxwell House.....I think Kraft need better advisors!
