As anyone with a basic understanding know, there will not be a single Sovereign Test but a number of Sovereign Tests. And, frankly, ODX can manufacture *any* LFT. It's a fairly standard manufacturing set up that can be easily adjusted to take account of individual test requirements.

Oh, how wrong you are. As I have pointed out a few times, I have quite a large holding in Avacta, as well as in ODX (and a range of other Covid-related shares). What I dislike about Avacta is the constant over-promising and under-delivering. I'd prefer fewer RNS - but for them to actually be relevant rather than puff.

At present, Avacta do not have a test in a position to be "the Sovereign Test" as was claimed. At such time as a validated test is produced, I'm sure it will be a potential candidate for the Sovereign Test programme - and the sooner that happens the better (after all I invest to make money).

But to suggest that the Avacta is *THE* Sovereign test is nonsense on stilts. As it is, it will be "Sovereign Tests" rather than "Sovereign Test" - it won't be a single test chosen.

It doesn't really, because we don't know:

- how long the Contract is for
- how long any extensions are for (and how many are included)
- what the unit price is
- what the quarterly forecast volume is

All we have is a potential financial envelope.

This *IS NOT* a Contract for £503m.

It is a Contract with a financial envelope up to £503m *IF* the volumes forecast are met *AND* if all possible contract extensions are enacted.

I wouldn't get hung up on the SureScreen tests.

ODX will manufacture the 'sovereign test', as and when the relevant test (or tests - there may be more than one) is (are) identified. That's all we need to worry about.

It's not true. It's a confection by someone who has no understanding of the relevant criminal law - or, it would appear from subsequent posts, the Civil Procedure Rules either.

Sorry to disappoint you dickie3times but the offence you are referring to, which was actually "obtaining a pecuniary advantage by deception" (s.16 Theft Act 1968) - there was no such offence as "Taking a Pecuniary Advantage For Gain" in England & Wales, was repealed by the Fraud Act 2006.

There have been some small contract awards for some of the acute hospital providers - but the large players are currently still operating under the NHS England national Covid Contract, which runs until 31 March. You won't see big Contracts awarded until the beginning of April.

Unfortunately, the sort of services that are being offered in Lot 1 under the IC Framework aren't really the sort of services SBI supply (it's primarily going to be treatment services to address waiting lists). However, there should be good opportunities for SBI to support those big providers who get IC Framework contracts and that's where I think he board will be looking.
