This was touched upon by Hattie Manc*ck in the Downing Street briefing last night. They are putting in place additional redundant capacity and plans to prepare for future pandemics...

What a pity they closed/scrapped so much of it before this pandemic hit.

I'd be careful about trying to claim the moral high ground and accusing others of personal attacks. You have repeatedly made personal attacks on a number of posters on this BB.

I was referring to my response (@ 07.58 this morning) to a post you had made.... but, to be fair, it was some time ago.

It will be interesting to see this* - partly because my other half is part of the trial, along with a number of his NHS colleagues, and several of my friends are involved in it from the University of Oxford/AstraZeneca front.

You misunderstand posts, get aggressive when you get challenged for posting incorrect things, and don't have the integrity to admit when you're wrong.

For me, this is a definite buy and a long term hold.

Whilst much of the chatter on this BB is around the Covid-related tests, ODX has a much broader portfolio that will ensure that it delivers good returns in the medium to long term.

I suggest you try reading stuff properly, as you clearly have a habit of not understanding things and flying off the handle. Like when you claimed this morning , in relation to the REACT tender "Good find Ozaztec, that tender for REACT studies should have our name on it." when you clearly misunderstood what the tender was for.

He didn't share the tweet - parislse did (look at the beginning of this thread). TWatcher is, quite rightly, referring to the information provided by Liverpool City Council (also linked to in parislse's original post).

That is entirely unfair. If you actually read what TWatcher has written, you will see you're actually saying basically the same thing.

The Liverpool testing does not, as the Covidiots with vested interest like Tice suggest, in any way indicate that PCR testing is inaccurate. That position is entirely based on a deliberate misinterpretation and misapplication of the data.

What Twatcher is rightly pointing out is the potential for the data to be deliberately misinterpreted and spun by the media - and others with vested interests. We've already seen this from the likes of Yeadon (referred to early on this BB) who misrepresented what was said by Court of Appeal in Portugal.

PCR testing is molecular testing that is designed to find active infection. In the UK, it is used primarily in Pillars 1 and 2, with a bit of Pillar 4.

In Pillars 1 and 2 the testing is two-fold:

(1) testing for those who are displaying symptoms; or
(2) screening for active infection prior to certain activities(e.g. prior to admission for elective surgery)

We do - there's lots of evidence, compiled over many years. What we also know is that people like Richard Tice are scientifically illiterate and have financial interests in talking down the effects of Covid.

Richard Tice, demonstrating once again his complete lack of basic knowledge around epidemiology, testing and statistics.

A failed, former Brexit Party MEP isn't really a good source of scientific information.
