I think that the only legal play Beowulf would have would be 'the International Centre for the Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID): the primary institution for handling the cases that companies file against sovereign states. (The ICSID is not the sole venue for such cases; there are similar forums in London, Paris, Hong Kong and the Hague, among others.)'
I prefer the original 'sketchy fur shareholders'
;)
Great post. Thank you
Out of 44 sites 43 were dusters
All gold exploration does not start with 'simple gold panning'. Commercial operations start with reconnaissance exploration in which satellite remote sensing; geological mapping and seismic techniques are used. In turn, this is followed by detailed geophysical studies and later, a detailed drilling, sampling, assaying and mineralogical study. An RNS based on panning with only one hit out of 44 strikes me as a treasure hunt and hobby mining
From the results only one pan showed a reasonable amount of colours and the rest were blow outs. They are still chasing the source
Why would 'legal action' suspend a decision? What evidence is there that a legal challenge would freeze government action?
Still shamelessly engaging in toxic deramping then Buster?
@Busterhogdog investing is not for the emotional and your personal attacks and insults show your personal quality or lack thereof
as illustrated by some of your comments on other boards (you should listen to your own advice):
'Every one who buys knows the risk and can do without dopey comments trying to unsettle others'
'hopefully put a end to the troll comments once and for all '
'Yes a troll they always appear'
'Hey troll bog off we have waited years for this !'

Buster, nobody made you do anything and nothing has been stolen from you. If you invested based on what's said here more fool you. It's up to everybody to conduct their own due diligence before investing. Take some responsibility for your own actions
I believe that this will come good eventually and I do think that drilling in Parkejaure is positive but if it was so certain they wouldn't be using some of the placement on legal advice. It's not in the bag until it's in black and white and confirmed. The biggest risk to any mining operation anywhere is converting an exploration licence into an exploitation licence
I wouldn't assume that the Sami subsist on state handouts:
'The modern norm is to have a permanent home and a cabin in the mountains for herding season. And those who remain in the business have long since replaced the skis with snowmobiles, AWD vehicles and helicopters.'
People who exist on handouts can't usually afford two homes, snow mobiles and helicopters. They have a parliament and UN protected designation as an indigenous people. My guess is that handouts are the icing not the cake
Looks like Swedish polticians are every bit as bad as UK politicians. Seems like granting Kallak might alleviate employment issues in the area:

I don't know if this has already been posted but I've found this report on sustainable mining with particular focus on human rights and Indigenous Sami rights

The Green Party have him by the short and curlies, I suspect
I'm not sure the opposition is organised enough. We largely have Tories vs Labour plus a few 'pilot fish'. Sweden on the other hand has The Social Democrats and Green Party vs Moderate party, sweden democrats, centre party, left party, christian democrats and liberals.
I'm sure there's a common saying about drinking at a brewery and organisational skills that would be appropriate
He's a politician so I wouldn't expect anything of substance
I'm betting on it being a yes. The greens might not like it but the damage to Sweden's reputation and economy will hopefully outweigh the greens desire for all swedes to flounce about in flax and hemp fibre clothing eating tofu and beans
I'm not so sure. Swedish politics is hamstrung since the last election. The Social Democrats had to align with the green party to counter 'The Alliance' (Moderate party, sweden democrats, Liberals and Christian democrats) with 144 seats to 143. The green party can hold the social democrats to ransom on any of their pet causes - like mining
