Yes, I agree we're at stage 3. But stage 4 can take 5-10 years. There is a lot of infrastructure and site establishment needed before any ore can be extracted, notwithstanding funding and environmental mitigation measures

Vague words with the promise of speed. I'm sure they want to get things done as soon as they can but the plan never survives first contact with the enemy. I've rarely seen a project of this scale brought in on time let alone early and there are too many third party variables impacting the critical path of their programme, over which they have no or little control (ITER was 4 or 5 years late for example). That said, I'm still in and holding albeit a little disappointed in the performance since achieving the exploitation licence.

I would say that advancing in this case just means to progress and 'reassessing' is unclear. Although likely to be an extension rather than a reduction. If they were bringing it forward I would expect to see words like 'acceleration', which would be normal construction planning parlance.

nothing will happen this year now and commodity prices have taken a real hammering. I believe that the average age of Jokkmokk is high as many young people move to the city. I think they may have more pressing issues at the moment

I suspect that nothing positive is going to happen within share trading for at least 6 months. The US suspended all trading for 15 minutes earlier today. Hopefully BEM can limp on and survive the next 6 months

Personally, after this weekend I am in no rush for a decision. Commodities have taken a beating due to the coronavirus and this thing is no where near peaking and is much more serious than chinese reports or our own media would suggest. The ore is in the ground and not going anywhere. Let's see which politicians and investors are left after this has played out ;p

Hi Suzy, it won't just be investors. It will also be people of the relevant principalities who need jobs and regeneration. The petition is not just for BEM. It is the whole govt approach and their lack of response

That doesn't good Eric. 1600 litres won't be 'oozing' but there's a good chance that it's excavating a void under your house. United Utilities will be trying to find out if the leak is on the main side of the meter (their responsibility) or domestic side of the meter (your responsibility). Good luck
