It's tough to take on board O'Donnell's "if you don't have anything nice to say..." and respond re. SatoshiPay!
It was sold off myseteriously by Lorne for FFWD (in 2017?) while Jim Mellon was increasing his personal holding in SatoshiPay and giving the market confidence in it. This was long before I was invested in FFWD, so I'm going from research I've done since coming in. It could all be wrong and not indicate the Abonys have always helped the Mellons of this world to hedge their own holdings / manipulate prices at particular points. At least we're Abonyless now, right...?
O'Donnell - see you in Wetherspoons, Friday!
Isn't the SP just deflated because of low liquidity and some big sells going through...? Whereas there are clearly some big buys about to be filled??
(Not that I'm saying I've got a huge order that is about to be filled...!!)
Well O'Donnell, I have just made a Strong Buy, (relatively speaking). Only 27.5k, but it means straight back into the overdraft after first pay cheque of the new job.
Forward, the Light Brigade... and all that!!
Is it that odd, Midas...?
(1) it is repeatedly said on this BB that we are waiting for the Leap sale
(2) the SP will not move significantly until the Leap sale
(3) we all complain that Leap is taking too long
(4) let's pretend, for the sake of a hypothetical, that Lorne is in the loop as to likely sale date
If he were being a devious little devil, and had access to all of Chrystal Capital's industry knowledge as well (via his role as Chair of Yooma), wouldn't it make sense for him to suggest to Mama that she sell SEED now, put her money into Yooma / Peridot / Change Agronomy (or whatever)... then buy back in to SEED before Christmas? There's not going to be more than a 10-15% shift in SP until we hear about Leap, and Mama Abony can surely make a better return elsewhere in a few months. We all could... except without the inside knowledge of when Leap will send the SP through the roof, we can't risk it. Right?!
Chystal Capital aren't exactly helping, either. They've been chasing me to invest directly in Change Agronomy, while the stock response is...
"Well Chrystal, all my liquid funds are in SEED, and you've just assisted the chairman of Yooma - one of your clients - to sell a huge tranche of shares in SEED so I'm currently underwater... and the SP would bounce back quicker if you hadn't just poached SEED's CEO to become a director of Peridot, the private fund you've set up for someone like Jim Mellon or Jeremy Agace. Why haven't I had an update on Northern Leaf's IPO, which is still apparently on track for this year...!?"
The Parable of the Mustard Seed
Then He said, “To what shall we liken the kingdom of God? Or with what parable shall we picture it? It is like a mustard SEED which, when it is sown on the ground, is smaller than any SEED on earth; but when it is sown, it grows up and becomes greater than all herbs, and shoots out large branches, so that the birds of the air may nest under its shade.”
We've seen these start to hot up a bit recently. I've just noticed LSE's number of trades for today drop from 25 to 24. Are any of us free users missing sight of large UTs or similar? I think Friday's 200k buy was pretty opaque at the time as well.
If the big boys are trying to buy on the sly.... things must be about to fly!
Cheers - will do - after work. I had to get a new job instead of living off SEED like I'd planned... but I'm now doing finances for a wood mill and it's almost exactly like Twin Peaks. As soon as the new bank mandate has been signed off, I'm tempted to hold all our working capital in SEED (before getting brutally murdered or losing my mind...)
Ouch! Sorry, Mat, it was a metaphor about Lorne... although I hear that stones are hereditary so I do have them to look forward to in future!
(I did think about getting in touch to compare notes on what we think is happening behind the scenes, though. I'm equally not quite 100% but have a theory - and it does mean a rosy outcome... I was going to go back through your clues first, of course.)
...just by coincidence, shifted a huge one this morning!
What a relief that the attrition has stopped. I'm still disappointed I invested everything BEFORE the cheap seats were on offer, but I reckon we'll all be above water shortly.
(And for what it's worth, my bet would be that Lorne has invested in Peridot... SEED's strange cousin.)
Dear [let's say] reefles,
On the back of your investment in Northern Leaf I thought you may want to see something else in an adjacent area.
I'm delighted to introduce you to Change Agronomy (CA) – a scalable, vertically integrated, ESG focused industrial hemp business that uses the whole of the plant to generate outsized investment returns...
This feels like writing a postcard. I'm enjoying the new job, although I do miss getting to spend more time and money with my favourite SEEDlings. It's lovely to see how you've all kept each other's spirits high and the share price buoyant.
I normally follow SEED during the day just on Google Finance... and it used to annoy me that we couldn't see a 1month chart, since the name change yonks ago. As of yesterday, we can! If you screenshot it, and flip the image left-to-right, and invert the colours, it is MAGNIFICENT. (Irritatingly, the longer term charts are still a mix of tickers.)
Anyway, I hope you're all doing well and doing good. I promise to write more poetry soon! Buy buy, bye bye.
'ello 'ello. I started a new job today, so sadly won't have as much time to pull hair over SEED's performance in real time.
Momentarily, while checking trades, I thought today had been exciting - but there's still so little volume changing hands that it's irrelevant. I think yesterday's UT at COB was more interesting, in terms of what's going on. It's painful to read all of the unreferenced analysis...
... I like to think that, if I've ever made reference to "a major seller", I've put in some work looking at who our major holders are, what they would have to publicly declare if they offloaded, where the money may have been redirected, etc. (not hard, given the Mellon connection... to check if someone's pumping money into one of his ventures while ours is slumping)
It feels like something's going on. I'm invested here beyond comfort, and underwater, but still think on balance that I'm going to be pleasantly surprised. This is just an urge to maintain a high standard of scrutiny, using easily available public records, rather than pure speculation. I'll chip in where I can.

Whoa now. That's pretty offensive, Mat. My own wife identifies as imaginary, but she's part of a transgressive social movement to reclaim the term. If she heard you throwing "imaginary" around as a casual slur, against members of the Vulnerably–Inexistant Community, she would bust her notional gusset.
I'm pretty sure we did all agree that.
I, for one, will not stand by and see 6p. I will bury my head firmly in the sand first.
Really, though, look at how much volume has changed hands this week. The drop is based on nothing. If you want to reassure yourself, look at the long range chart: https://seedinnovations.co/investor-centre/shareholder-analysis and notice that al proper drops are followed by a big leg up, rather than a slow crawl.
