At what price are you think of selling your trading stock of Glen?
With the new range, I'm thinking around 3.08. That's about 7.5 pips for me based on yesterday's purchase which I'm happy with.

You mention FXPO. That sends shivers down my spine. Not because it is a bad company (its not a bad company) but because it represents my biggest ever loss. I was very heavily into it in 2015 (from memory) and the share collapsed down to about 35p. I think I sold at about 45p (and took a £50000 loss) only for it to rise to 300p in a short period. We win some, we lose some but hopefully we learn from the bad ones too!

Qzqz, thanks but more luck than judgement. It just seemed to fall too far and as soon as the falling appeared to have stopped I jumped in. Got it right this time but often not, lol.
As for Glen, I think Ken is right. On a bad day later this week we may well see 295 but the lows are definitely getting higher. Outside of a major event, the trading range does appear to have upped to the 295 to 310 range. Positive result in a few weeks time, could push that range up a bit further.

I upped my FRES holding this morning. got some at 946.6

Billy, I did and some. Both Ken and myself made a lot out of Shire. Without the offer, I would have been stuffed. I took a huge gamble which very nearly went pear-shaped but came good in the end. I was lucky but you need a bit of luck now and then.
I'm going to take early retirement soon so that I can be a full time day trader/own fund manager.

Billy, it was Shire. It hit roughly £30 in Feb but Takeda put in an offer in March which saved me.

Pete, 1000 shares. For me that is small but I appreciate that this is still a lot of money for people.
I've been extremely fortunate to build up decent pension pots & ISAs (over 30+ years) for myself and my wife that I now actively manage and trade. This allows mean to trade in quite big sums.

Hang in there with GVC. A year ago I was only in one stock and was £150,000+ down (it was at its low in Feb 2018) but luckily held on and it came good for me. My patience was stretched to the limit but I'm glad I held my nerve. I'm confident that GVC will give you a decent return. I like the look of it myself and I will be trading it once the brexit position is a little clearer. Good luck.

Aether, I totally agree with you that the markets have been reacting strangely. On both major vote days 9and day after) markets have risen strongly.
But we are now coming to the business end of this and I expect to see sharp movements in both directions as sentiment changes.
I am 100% in cash (other than a small position in FRES taken out on Friday) and hope for some buying/trading opportunities. But I am concerned about being caught when big unexpected movements occur.

I also think that we are heading more towards a no deal brexit but the markets seem to imply otherwise. This is uncharted territory indeed.

I'm happy to be very cautious at the moment as this is better for my heart/nerves!!

Pete, re GVC, I just don't know. I managed to get out with a small profit on Thursday's rise but I will be back in it soon.
Maybe the financial result in early March will give it the kick it needs or positive news from the US re sports betting.

George, I only one I would add to Ash's list is GVC.

I bought a small holding FRES today which is the first time in 5 years.
Traded both Glen & GVC today but sold just before close as uncertain outlook. I will keep the FRES though, tucked away until £10.50.

Shire was brilliant for me I agree.
But so was Randgold and GLEN is nearly as good.
The last 10 months have been fantastic (for me) for trading the stamp duty free stocks. Only sorry to see 2 disappear.
There are 5 big stocks that I trade that still SD free (outside of AIM which I don't touch anyhow.)

Sitting on 100% cash at the moment after cashing out of GVC. Its been a good week and good month but I fear that the markets could slow down after the decent run.
Re GLEN, also not sure of direction. The lows are definitely getting higher so anything sub 3 would be a good entry point. Production report was OK, nothing better.

Would love to get back into GLEN but I'm a little nervous.
Will be watching closely for decent entry points...

I just sold the last of my GLEN. But I hope you are right for your sakes. I don't mind if it rises after I sell as I'm happy with my sell decisions. £10k for one day is unusual and too good to wait, particularly with the ongoing Brexit mess.
No doubt I will be back in soon but I hope it does blast through 300p.
