The dividend is paid on the 15th June. You should see it in your account on that day or the next.
I agree. Two steps forward and one step back. It keeps people guessing and we get a nice rise that is essentially unnoticed by the mainstream. It always saddens me when the headlines then start to read - gold to $5000. That's when I know we are near a top for that particular run. All good things must come to an end, and I have to wait until next time. Gold is the most emotional investment I know of.

Is it too much to ask for a good news RNS to appear very soon? Sotolo would be able to build a mansion, if it happened.
I one hundred years' time, China will be in the same position in which the USA finds itself today. Russia will be ready to take over as the global economic superpower.
You don't need much imagination to guess who is predicting that scenario. (MA)
The sad thing (for me) is that I shan't be around to see if it's true.
There is a nice, slow move to roll over that $1900 gold price barrier. It's not spiking and I can't reason why people would be selling at this time. Centamin is so cheap at this level. I hope to wake up in the morning to see gold over the line.
Spot on Mr B.
Reading Goldgnome's posts first thing in the morning is better than radio's 'thought for the day'. They cut through the nonsense and look at the bigger picture.
The sad thing is that there are a lot of red noses out there that always seem to find ready owners.
That could be the case, Rebess, but I thought the commercials starting going net long quite a few weeks ago. So I'm not so sure if gold will take a hit.
I've noticed that Dr Copper is beginning to look a little sickly and the $US is right down in the huge support zone. That doesn't necessarily mean gold will be hit - we could get some risk off momentum. I can still see gold pushing towards $1950. We'll see.
Poetry, eh?
'How hasty is time to depart from us,
Through adult, from child and birth,
For a man has but a few short years,
To make his history upon the earth.'
Hi Mr Tibbles
Someone gave me the Detectorists Boxset as a present. A fantastic programme and I loved the music - although not Lance and Andy's effort in the pub with 'New Age Girl'. I liked the Triumph TR7 as well. I've seen Ghosts on Iplayer. I am watching Butterflies on DVD at the moment - I remember it from when I was about 12 and It's still pretty good compared to most things on TV today.
There are so many different kinds of birds where I live - some I never knew existed (Treecreepers). The Song Thrushes sing first thing in the morning and last thing at night before their bedtime. There is a Rookery right next to me - they make so much noise that they always get me up early in the spring and summer months. The pigeons have a bad habit of ripping off the blossom and new leaves on the cherry and plum trees. It's impossible for me to net the trees so I just hope they get fed up with the habit before they do too much damage. They never touch apples or pears, which is a good thing because I do.
Hi Mr Tibbles
I very much appreciate your posts too and indeed everyone who posts on this board. I think it is one of the best boards and one of only two I feel comfortable posting on - the other being Rockhopper.
I think this board has shown me how much I don't know about so many things. There are philosophers, mining experts, financial analysts, Bitcoin/crytocurrency gurus, economists, bacteriologists, doctors, political experts, classic car fanatics and Liverpool fans, to name but a few. Oh, and there are the wise. All concentrated in this one place. Thank you Sir Tim Berners-Lee.
However, the thing I really like best of all is that, no matter what things are said in a careless moment to upset us, we are all able to forgive one another. To me, a person who can take the slings and arrows and forgive those that threw them, is pure class. That is why I think all the people who post on this board, are first class. Long may they continue to be so.
By the way, I have finished watching Black Books. Thanks so much for telling me about it. It's just my kind of humour. A real gem.
Hi RazorsEdge,
and according to my II account, we should get 2.16p per share.
I'm glad I didn't buy any bitcoins recently even though I really must have a very small dabble into the crypto space at some time in the future to learn the technology.
I sincerely don't mean to sound sarcastic when I say it just goes to show how some 'off topic' posts on here can be of tremendous value. When I started reading the Centamin board, very little was mentioned about cryptocurrencies. However, as the price of Bitcoin has risen, so the posts promoting its worth have become more frequent on this board and it has been a very good indicator to signaling some form of top, albeit possibly only a temporary one. I can't even predict the price of gold or Centamin, so I'm not even going to try it on Bitcoin.
The question now, as some people have posted recently, is whether some of that enthusiasm for cryptocurrencies will now transfer to precious metals?
I'm pleased I hold Centamin shares and gold. So many investors are still very bearish on both and I feel that's a good signal for me to slowly accumulate both when the opportunity arises. Buying gold gives me a sense of distancing myself from all the nonsense in the world.
It's another rainy Sunday - where have all the flowers gone?

With an average Centamin share price of 125p, you've got a lot to look forward to over the coming years.
The most I've paid for Centamin was around the 160p mark - in 2018. In early 2019, I read a Martin Armstrong article on his blog - I've provided the link. It was suggesting that Centamin was about to have a 'waterfall' event, which freaked me out, I can tell you. So I sold the majority of my holding for about 145p - a profit overall (just) and kept a small core holding bought years before. Well, as we know, Centamin rose much higher and I didn't think much about MA's prediction. Then we had that waterfall event and I was glad I missed it all (except I kept the small core holding which obviously took the hit).
Armstrong claimed his AI computer program predicted the fall, but he knows the gold mining industry so well I'm sure he, and many other, knew the goings-on with Centamin and were bailing before it became public knowledge.
Anyway, that's all in the past and I'm sure there is an exciting future - for the right reasons.

It's almost as though gold is a high jumper, looking at that bar of $1900 and deciding its tactics. Hopefully, gold has had plenty of Lucozade Energy and will be ready to leap soon. With any luck, it'll be a good sprinter too after the hurdle - targetting the $1950s before another rest. Let's hope its wearing a Centamin shirt when it does all this.
There, a nice little bit of athletics talk for a Friday lunchtime. Not too off topic, I feel.
That should read 'make believe' assets, I believe.
I've got square eyes today!

Oh dear. We have arrived today.
An article from MoneyWeek (Dominic Frisby) - I know all regular readers here have probably already seen this - about yesterday's Bitcoin crash. It also discusses the shift from 'make belief' assets to hard assets - so lots on my favourite metal to read and not so 'off topic' as you may think.

Whether or not cryptos outside of officialdom survive is a question of whether you think governments eventually triumph or the people eventually triumph.
If I don't get my nose to the grindstone today, I won't triumph.
Yes, I see gold had a look at $1900 yesterday and came back for a think about it. Another couple of 'think about its' and I think it will be about it and through that barrier.
A small addition yesterday with some MVIS winnings the other day keeps my strategy of drip feeding and dividend feeding on course. Some good news would be welcome.
Have a good day everyone.
I'm in a rush today!
