Given that gold has gone to its lowest level for 2 weeks, its not surprising that there is some weakness in POG today.. personally, I think those buying today will be getting the better deal .. a chance to buy some relatively cheap stock..

Very high calibre additions to the board.. lull before the storm .. onward and upward big time..
Level 2 looking very healthy.. shares are being hoovered up..

encouraging that even though gold is weaker today hovering around 1735, POG is a tad firmer..

Those of you want to post about Trump etc.. do us all a favour and find another site...

well , you might be right in that this may all fizzle out.. but I think the arrival of the new very rich Russian investors would indicate a different direction of travel.. upwards from here..very much so..lets see..

Gold back over 1730 .. POG was bound to have a breather after recent rise.. but it looks like its trajectory is definitely upward..and upward .. personally, I think some of the high sp numbers that get mentioned will start to look achievable pretty soon.. I think we have several things going on here.. a sea change in the fortunes of the company.. very serious new major investors.. a significant re-rate of how the company is perceived by fund managers is really taking shape.. from basket case, to "got to have " portfolio stock.. all imho of course..

There is some encouraging buying going on this morning.. was there any press over the weekend?
In any event, I think our new major shareholder should be showing us the direction.. they haven't invested to see some nice percentage returns.. they have invested to see a multiple return..as has been pointed out, similar shares have market cap many times that of Pog.. if the sentiment from the fund managers regarding POG really starts to turn positive you will see this fly..

with gold at 1733.. why are we going down?

Hi , I appreciate your comments about charts, but I don't think that PPC is the kind of share that the chart signals you are referring to really have any meaning here. In my experience, the chart theories are more aligned to large heavily traded stocks, the stocks that trackers and funds get into .. PPC is too small to be on any of these players radar and also the spread is so high the kind of trading I am referring to doesn't apply here.
All in my humble opinion of course..

A merger between POG and UGC would give UGC the stock market listing that one would think Mr Strukov would desire.. with combined POG and UGC resources a re-rating would see them straight into the FTSE 100..
One would think that they are looking of multiples of share price upside to be taking such a large stake at this share price..
Might take a while, but if they got a combined market cap of £5bn, that would see the share price towards 200p per share..
This is not beyond the realms of possibility.. apart from anything else, unless they have these or similar plans, what is the point of taking the stake at all...

Konstantin Strukov now has a 22.3% stake.. founder of Uzhuralzoloto Group of Companies.. a rival gold producer... any thoughts anyone?

at the time the trade was done the price was 2.90 - 3.00, so most probs a buy..

Lets hope we dont get to a point when you can buy 16m shares for £48k..!! ..
there is no fundamental reason why the shares have lost so much value in the last month .. maybe just people loosing faith and wanting to get some cash in ..
However, I do think that the only thing that will see this share recover to anything over 6p is a gusher in Paraguay.. which is a total unknown time wise and might not ever happen.. all the good news about increased production bla bla bla.. is just that.. bla bla bla.. nobody cares about the extra barrels from Louisiana and all that.. and that is being shown in plain view for all to see in the current share price.. the company is doing well in that respect.. but the share price just continues to head south.. absolutely no hope of recovery without a game changing discovery.. and few extra bpd isn't that ...

Any CEO or company chairman will tell you that the date in the diary that can't be missed is the AGM.
Unless they were in hospital or likewise, they , and in particular PL, should have been there.
These guys can fly on private jets and getting in and out for one meeting is something they can do.. make no mistake, they chose not to be there.. whatever reasons they are giving, whilst I would like to know what they are.. are almost definitely made up or contrived so that they missed it..
Appalling behaviour .. showing complete contempt for the shareholders.. mind you PL has form on this one..
something is a foot , and probably not in our interests, but will be in the interests of the guys who didn't show..
