Im not sure about the amount but the RNS only sais the trial can restart in the US and not Argentina. To be fair it can a trillion dollars$$ if the defendant is broke it's immaterial The case hasnt really started but if they do win then theres lots of appeals and then theres the how can you get the money out of a state thats broke? The IMF has just bailed argentina out Chevron v ecuador has been going for 20 years... back and forth ,appeal after appeal with no end in sight The peterson case will be the same.. its just one in the bank to forget.. I think they were clever to offload and buy into other cases to spread the risk and the small percentage of actually reclaiming any money off the state 2-10% up being realistic on the 25th july when interims arr announced would be nice.

I learnt a tip from a great reader of company accounts ALWAYS start at the bottom and work your way up in accounts. Normally companies have stuff buried at the bottom they want you to miss. Im not qualified accountant but I stick to a tight plan and try not to get emotionally involved in a share. I sold 92 million of my shares yesterday as personally I dont see anything positive in the RNS. I lost maybe 5K from my total.. Win some,lose some. Like 88e many years back ,a lot of ramping then nothing. I noticed at the bottom of accounts its stated the reason they spent less is becuase the directors didnt take a salary or less of one, so theres no growth in the company just less sucking out of our money we pump in All the holding companies listed ,whos the directors of these holding companies?? I didnt have time to investigate here if they are just shifting cash from ADL to holding companies? A big one is IFRS 15 and IFRS 16. This is the new legal requirement on reporting accounts that came in for accounts from Jan2018 In the next set of accounts they will have to legally report differently and there will be no hiding numbers or clever accounting "IFRS 15 Revenue from Contracts with Customers. New revenue recognition standard was issued: IFRS 15 Revenue from Contracts with Customers and it should fill the gap between IFRS and US GAAP. ... You'll need to apply IFRS 15 for reporting periods beginning on or after 1 January 2018 " IFRS16 ,the board did also mention this and didnt see it as a problem..Yet.. "The International Accounting Standards Board (IASB or Board) issued IFRS 16 Leases (IFRS 16 or the new standard), which requires lessees to recognise assets and liabilities for most leases. For lessors, there is little change to the existing accounting in IAS 17 Leases." Im still in BURFORD CAPITAL who were up 40% on accounts release back in March. Its a pattern Look at 1000 , it dropped back to 730 then went crazy to 1200 then another dropback an upward trajectory Its a moat business, no else can touch them and they are expending in insurance now and asia markets. Expect that to dominate Julys figures I just keep topping up and dont sell. No trade wars will damp this share. In a few years when its in the main exchange it will be 3000+ Im In since 489 but dipped in and out. Now in solid since 748 and not touched it Best thing I ever did was take a job in legal and saw first hand the birth of litigation finance and how the big firms are starting to use more and more off balance sheet financing.

With results out end of July, I feel it wil slowly creep up to 1700 then results should give a10-15% uplift taking it to 1900 ish So i think end of this year early feb/mar 19 should be easy 2500.. Just hold and keep topping up You have the new asian offices in singapore , the Oz trial of Amp plus a lot more Personally it can easily double to over 3000 in 18 months-2 years

Interesting your point about brokers getting it wrong. Read David dremans book about contrarian investing.. Theres a part about brokers and proof many do get it wrong and how it can effect share price... I dont bother to use broker opinions.. Only reason I bought into this was because I worked in law , the use is endless and its off balance sheet for the law firm.. Litigation finance to law what bitcoin was to shares... But I cant see the goverments closing down litigation finance any time soon.... -------of the 41 rules that dreman came up with----------- --Rule 5: ---There are no highly predictable industries in which you can count on an�alysts� forecasts. Here goes with my reuters updated feed based on Current earnings. It values the company using Behamin Grahams rule of thumb at 3176p (143% undervalued)...based on the assumptions ...... The company's current normal earnings per share are: $0.89............(average of 3 year earnings, latest actual earnings and 12 month forecast earnings).......... The estimated medium-term (5-7 year) EPS growth rate is: 20%............... .The growth multiplier is: 1.5x.......... .............The yield on 20 year AAA corporate bonds is: 3.4%...... When reuters updates my feeds(hopefully tommorow) I can rerun the Graham rule of thumb calc as see what it comes up with My only regret is not using my full isa allowance . Pension up 70k today.. isa less so..
