Well done, I cashed by premium bonds and waiting for the cheque so i can pile in more.. Throwing everything at this. Sold 50k of gately holdings plc shares today and piled into BUR at 4.20 only for it to go up another 1% after close, instantly make me money. I hate to think what the senior partners earn /charge out per hr at BUR but at my old firm (magic circle city firm) they charged out at £700 per hr and had full books for 10 years.... Its the potential of scotland and maybe one day ireland which interests me.. The peterson case is a bit of broken record and I m not invested for that ,although at some point news will make shares rise more BUR wont get any money out of that case for another 10 years+ .. Ecuador v chevron is still going on after 18 years..appeal after appeal etc... Pity theres not a opinion of "hammer everything you have at it" rather than strong buy

There was a RNS this evening about the partner up with an Edinburgh based law firm Yesterday Shepherd and Wedderburn In scotland the law is changing around litigation finance opening it up...I am Guessing they are putting the foundation in to get into scotland.. Watch this space but I imagine they are gearing up to try and crack scotland. Is still banned in Ireland but that could change.. Law just chugs along bringing in the cash... law cases have loads of stages and take years to complete.. ----Im up 72% now but need to just leave it.. Alas more fish in the sea, I have laid low and not looked/worried. My valuation (ex legal background) is 1300 for the moment using benjamin grahams rule of thumb.....Burford took on the case of a case to sue mastercard for £14 billion ...and lost... https://www.lawgazette.co.uk/law/14bn-group-action-kicked-out-of-court/5062164.article Burford lost this one but is backing hundreds of cases (which will takes years to collect the cash, this share will grow over time...so park and ride it out) All good though :) Roll on the 27th july and the next 2-5 years.. Brexit will make Burford very rich..as well as gately holdings plc... All these city firm contracts need reviewing and some will probably sue when they decide to go against what has been decided by the EU etc...who knows... I do know that when I left a global 5 law firm in the city there was enough work for the next 10 years :) OVERWEIGHT LAW

GATELY HOLDINGS PLC Looking at the chart and comparing rises on or just before a news release. You can make up your mind on Tues 11th July 2017. But my guess is 12-15p upward climb or more.. Easy money :) Law is the future with the £500-£700 per hr corporate layers having to rewrite post brexit business contracts etc.. Lots and lots works for them RESULTS releases and how the price went up in ALL but 1 release they have ever done 25th May 2017 - 161p increased to 195p up 34p (17.4%) 6th Dec 2016 - 109p increased to 130p up 21p (16.1%) 19 July 2016 - 95p increased to 120p up 25p (20.8%) 19th May 2016 - 103p increased to 107p up 4p (3.7%) 16th Nov 2015 - 103p increased to 105p up 2p (1.9%) 3rd Nov (approx 2 weeks before a release on 16th No 2015 it jumped up 8.6%)95p increased to 109.50p up 9.5p Only time it has been down since float in over 2 years was for a release on 15Sep 2015 where it went from 101p-97p down 4p (nearly 4% down)

I emailed H&L to get confirmation on UT Trades, to my knowledge BUR applied and got on the SET order system on may 8th. Some huge Sells today... roughly 6 millions pounds today the biggest tranche was a 2.9 million pound sale after the clock at 16.35pm.... I think Its going to continue down then track sideways and go up (eventually) - Williams R% is flat scraping the floor and cant go any lower.:) ... Buying in the dips is the only way to make serious cash.. My point and figure chart which is rarely wrong has a reversal to a low of 661..(That will change when it start going up again) I value this at 1500 using the Benjamin rule of thumb ..(that will take a long time).... I will hammer back in when my chart reverses... The more is goes up (it will go up a lot) the more volatile it will be... I cannot remember it ever dropping more than 5% in one go on a 10 year chart.... we are down 12% in a week now.... Monday will open lower I think , with the sheep following the herd.. I will just keep and eye on the volume..Then fill my boots :)

From sept16 last year, some interesting reading.... This is what argentina are appealing against and to be able to take the case to Argentina and NOT the US. I find myself being corrected by jane --------------------------- Isn't it actually the other way round, that the NY court decision last year was to admit Burford's right to sue in the US (which is what Repsol actually did for their claim) and that it is Argentina that is seeking today to overturn that decision? This from Burford's 2016 Annual Report, page 16: "The Petersen claim is being heard in US federal court in New York and during the course of 2016 the court issued an important preliminary decision in Petersen’s favour,----------- permitting the case to be heard in the US.
