George Frangeskides, Chairman at ALBA, explains why the Pilbara Lithium option ‘was too good to miss’. Watch the video here.
i agree Monkey70 - thinking about it now, it makes sense that the BOD would want to wait until they had nicely set up the prospects for EUA 2.0 before releasing news of an asset sale - announcements like they made today are going to keep investors around for the longterm even after the divi announcement
i certainly will not be selling a bean
really great news flow in the last month and more exciting stuff to come
also noted that H4 energy is being managed by ex-Shell employees - these are big names in the energy business and this partnership shows a huge amount of faith in what EUA can deliver
every announcement is just another string in EUAs bow and i cant wait to see what they release next
I'd be really curious to know what some posters think would have been an acceptable time period for a deal of this magnitude to be concluded - would 6 months have been acceptable?
in my head, time doesnt have much of a bearing on the outcome of this; the BOD are doing exactly what they said the would and are increasing value to shareholders. the company is not at all in the same position it was this time last year, which means the strategic options available to the company have also changed
dont get me wrong, im impatient and would love this to conclude ASAP but with all the twists and turns in this saga the longer it takes the more im convinced the outcome will be even better
amazing breakdown Sharegar - good to watch that interview again now that everything seems to be coming together
just some very rudimentary calculations from me:
if you take the Stillwater-Sibanye deal as a benchmark, that was $2.2b for 19moz
the equivalent for 11moz here would be $1.27b , which is about 30p equivalent
that deal was completed back in 2017, before the rise in spot prices and also has a higher AISC than EUA, by about double
Unfortunately, i have to agree and say that the NPV doesnt equate to Share price - depending on circumstances i've seen some for around 50% of NPV as share price - so that would still mean around a tasty 15p just for this. even if its 30%, thats around 10p
before today, we only had 1.9moz at MT confirmed - now we have an extra 11moz. It might not be the 15m that was hoped for, but clearly there is still more to come
all in all, a bl o o dy brilliant RNS - more confident than ever this will come good
Bump - great post Ginger Hippo
Just goes to show, companies will pay a massive premium to get these resources. they are FINITE. the SP of Noront this time last year was around 0.16 - the offer of $1.1 is 6.9x that
our BOD are in the best bargaining position and wont let this go cheap - we have absolutely no idea what is going on behind doors, but we can assume there is a bidding war of some king. lets hope its mega
i really like to think that any delays at this point are either out of the BODs hands, such as JORC and license transfers, or theyre to get the best possible outcome. i, personally, am more than happy to wait an extra couple of months if the reward willl be 3x greater than the original offer
good luck all, dont be disheartened
what tragic news, RIP Scott
Janey, thank you for bringing this to everyones attention - thoughts go out to his family and friends
its strange how this board can feel like such a community - i mostly read and dont really post, but to hear of the loss of someone on here is really saddening
Im at the business design centre in angel for a healthcare conference, and the mining and money exhibition is downstairs
No EUA reps there but guess who i did find... Wardell armstrong
I snuck in to try talk to them but unfortunately their stall was empty- will try again kater
Please explain why it would be a bad thing to dual list?
I read the RNS this morning as a positive; listing on two exchanges surely means that the same amount of shares is now open to a larger market, more demand means less shares in circulation and rise in SP, is this not the case?
Was quite surprised to read all the negative comments on here today, but I suppose i shouldnt be considering some of these bots can spin even the most positive RNSs into something negative
Hi Philip,
My appetite to risk is very high, but only because i really believe in EUA as a company. I think it's a once in a lifetime share and I;ve done a lot of research (and benefitted from the research of a lot of people on this board) and feel comfortable in my decision
I am quite young and i see EUA as my only opportunity to get on the property ladder, and if things go the way I hope they will I will make a lot more money than I could lose, so there's a lot of upside for me. The potential reward outweighs the potential risk so Im very happy with my position being very heavily invested in EUA
(this is not financial advice)
that RNS was great news - might still be a bit further away than some might like but should instil certainty in nervous PIs that things are progressing as they would hope and that there are now multiple offers on the table
I believe it was CAW1 yesterday saying there was a whiff of the big boys closing their shorts ahead of news - great call
GLA
Havent been posting much recently or even followinv the board as often because ive just come to terms that this will take as long as it takes - still fully confident in the outcome but am much happier not expecting an RNS everyday and just living life
I feel for people who need the money urgently, and might have to pull some funds out, but this whole process has been a lesson for me. These transactions are massive and contingent upon multiple parties and organisatjons to get done , so eua are also restrained by other parties timelines
Itll happen when it happens and it will be magnificent for us all im sure
Good luck everyone
Feeling very appreciative for all the positive posts on here today, otherwise id be feeling very glum
I think since this placing thats the first time ive felt really down hearted about this share- im not selling and still have full belief this will turn good - but it is heartwrenching to see so much wiped off the sp in only a few days
I do feel that the BOD could have given more information than they did about the placing, or i wish they had used the 20m in the bank before doing another placing - just really hoping that means rosgeo jv has a LOT more than was previously disclosed
Hey ho, we wait longer and im not selling either
Fingers crossed for more positive news soon
Is very interesting- fast tracking rosgeo
I read that as there is a lot more there than the 106m oz they first thought and theyre going to try and capitalise on that asap
Would be nice to have another rns soon with more detail
James Nieuwenhuys, CEO and Managing Director commented: "We have decided to advance the Rosgeo JV, as its projects' potential has become more evident during the course of the confirmatory work being done by Wardell Armstrong International in relation to both PGM and battery metals (nickel, copper and cobalt) that are future facing metals in relation to the fast-growing hydrogen and EV markets respectively."
