Sorry to hear your news, hope things pick up for you soon on all fronts. Only 3 of the BOD have holdings of this size so I'm hopeful it was a buy as there are others quite close to this mark. We may even get an RNS to clarify at this volume if it was an ii.
If you look at the 9.56 trade for a much smaller amount on 6th as a Buy @ 1.19 I think this could actually also be a buy for that volume, in which case that is VERY good news. Anyone any thoughts? It's all looking very blue out there.
We expect news anytime now, but may be just before month end based on year before last . However some good buys coming in and daily volumes increasing steadily. Do you scent a smoking fuse yet Geckoman? Good luck all xps holders, our patience may just be about to be rewarded.
PJ is a very shrewd businessman as we all know, and that is partly why I am invested in this share, I am not going to second guess what plans he might have in the future for xps, other than it might get too big too quickly for what is speculated on. However we can already see a very impressive growth strategy which is delivering results and at these prices the long term is not necessarily something to worry about. As always DYOR and start by looking at the prices that the BOD have bought in at, GLA
Based on RNS's I'm still expecting £3>4m profit as the DS RNS will not impact until next year if at all. If your spike predictions are correct that will give me the free shares I'm looking for long term ... mission accomplised. GLA xps holders we can't have many more weeks to wait now, watch for any action if you want to top up
My average is now 1.50 and as said a few days ago I have liquidated 25% of my other holdings to lock in profits and averaged down a couple of others. Essentially I am happy with the portfolio as it stands in the current market. BUT I have a fair amount of cash sitting waiting for a home, this is SO tempting at this price but I'm overweight here and don't know if I can resist the temptation. This share normally bounces well on good news, which I still believe will come but maybe not until well into July from the 2011 release. Perhaps MAGP will continue to drift down so I can get back in there and solve my dilemma. GLA
I'm with you on this one, still a great long term prospect but will exercise caution in the short term choppy waters of the macro economic climate and take slice if the opportunity arises, " a pound in the bank and all that.......... "
Hi Geckoman and welcome Bluethunder. Good posts and I share your views. It seems however good a company is at present and whatever news it brings to the fore the markets just will not respond. I now fear xps will suffer the same fate, but bear in mind results 2 years ago were not our till July so don't necessarily expect someting any day now. I have recently sold out of 2 holdings to preserve profits have generated cash in the process and am looking to average down several other holdings and exit for the time being. They are all good companies which I anticipate being in for the long term, xps included, but I see an opportunity to increase long term gains by doing so and buying in at a lower level in due course. When and how the global crisis will resolve itself is the key to turning markets around, I similarly think a "grexit" (love that term) is a foregone conclusion and the sooner the better. In the meantime everyone DYOR and IMHO exercise caution.
Have been looking back at the DSNS RNS and last years accounts. DSNS contributed £4m to the bottom line, although overall the group was still loss making. We anticipate revenue from other operations to exceed last years by some margin according to the post Christmas trading update. The DSNS RNS states that the impact will be in the 2013 accounts but they will be looking to replace the revenue and in addition profit per customer is unlikely to be impacted in the medium term by the revamp. So all in all the reaction seems to have been way overdone so are MM's trying to create a big shake in anticipation of what we hope has been coming for some time? However this may not be until July based on last years diary. All just a hypothesis bit I still believe xps has mileage. GLA.
Good to see you back. Probably best not to have been around much lately. The markets are very concerning at present, 2 of my holding have posted exceptional rises in profits over the last few days to see zilch rise in SP. I need to see xps bounce on results to release some funds for some other plays I want to make at present but am becoming nervous as to whether we are going to get what we have been expecting. Should really pile in at this ridiculous price to reduce average to a no brainer but don't know what to sell as several are on starters orders and bound to pick the wrong one, ho hum, what a quandary !!!
but isn't much of a set back? Company EXPANSYS plc TIDM XPS Headline DSNS Contract Renewal Released 15:15 01-Jun-2012 RNS Number : 6751E EXPANSYS plc 01 June 2012 DSNS Contract Renewal EXPANSYS plc (AIM: XPS), announces the renewal of a contract by its subsidiary, Data Select Network Solutions Limited ("DSNS"), with an existing major UK mobile network partner. As a result of the renewal terms, in the short to medium term, the Board expects the changes will reduce the current forecasted sales with this network which in turn will have a corresponding negative impact on the profitability of DSNS in FY 2013 in the UK market. Whilst we will be looking to replace this reduced volume through business with other partners, we believe this change of terms will mean that achieving management expectations for DSNS in FY 2013 will be more challenging. The Board believes the contract will provide a potentially greater reward for DSNS on a per-customer basis in the longer term, when compared to the previous arrangements. A fuller trading update for the Group as a whole will be given in due course. Nothing around to suggest it was anything other than the Euro crisis and shame you missed the dip if you wanted a few more. Not sure we won't be seeing more fluctuations depending on the euro news over the coming weeks and hope it doesn't have too much of an impact on market sentiment towards the results we are expecting. Keep the faith.
