I agree with FW that this was almost certainly a buy. There were 2 trades at 10:06 shown as sells, 1 at 1.11 and the other at 1.15, the latter was probably a buy and therefore anything at 1.15, including the 12m for the rest of the day were buys. Looking at the holdings in xps only 2 directors hold more than this number of shares (but I'm not saying it was a director purchase) and of the ii's Newton are the lowest shown with 56m. This therefore could be the start of some very good news, we all know tis is a soundly based stock, vastly undervalued at present and at some point the market will take note.
My mistake yesterday. Still speculating on Samsung (vs your Microsoft) but it is LG who are bringing out the huge flat screen. Mind you SS and LG match eachothers products within a few weeks in any case. Mind you what we really need is a huge magnifying glass to get this sp to somewhere near where it ought to be. Have a good BH w/e all xps holders
Firstly, sorry GK about your situation, you are a great contributor to this BB and I'm glad you can still keep a holding here. Hopefully better times in the market will enable you to recoup some of your losses in due course. This is afterall a fundamentally sound group of companies with a clear global strategy and an excellent BOD. Indeed in the last few days we have seen several good RNS's to underline this and Mr C's response shows that they value their pi's. Now FW, I'm going to punt on Samsung, just hope their new huge flatscreen isn't the product 'cos at £14k a pop the Ozzies aren't going to be queueing down the street to buy one !
Good RNS. Global distributor, initial single device showing good market potential, initially in Australia, but cannot be named for commercial reasons. Probably not Amazon as they are named. But significant profit generator for the group within 12 months. Sounds all good for the xps faithful !!

Snippet form Dow Jones News 08/08 EXPANSYS PLC (XPS.LN), an online consumer electronics retailer and mobile network services provider, is looking to make further acquisitions and sees particularly attractive opportunities in Asia, its chief executive said. "It's a good time to be an acquirer, because values seem to be sensible," Anthony Catterson told Dow Jones Newswires in an interview following the company's full-year results. "Asia continues to look very attractive, both from a retail and network services perspective," he said. "It's by far the strongest emerging market in e-commerce and wireless telecoms and I would imagine that if we do look at opportunities...the balance of opportunities may well be weighted towards Asia." Shares -3.8%, at 1.3 pence.
there you are, overcooked as we all knew, some late buys yesterday, no doubt day traders looking for the bounce but the spread wil defeat them for now. We need a steady but sustained climb back to where this ought to be. GLA
I for one still share your thoughts and am committed to this company, all fundamentals are sound and the current sp is totally unjustified. Just been on WSG and there is a feeling that AIM may be viewed as undervalued by some fund managers due to the lacklustre performance on 350. Can't be soon enough. If its any consolation at one time today nearly all my holdings were red but tomorrow is another day. Hope things pick up for you. somewhree in time
09:58 anything above 1.10 is a buy. 52 week high 18th August 2012, don't think we are going to get there this year without another upbeat RNS quickly. All my various holdings are on the blocks waiting for the gun, just need a few to move as I've others twitching in the watchlist, patience .......
Having just read the entire RNS this is a very creditable performance under very challenging global conditions and xps is soundly balanced for the future. Surely sp ought to recover to at least where it was before the DSNS RNS, (which seems in hindsight to have been made out to be far worse than it was) as an absolute minimum. The only downside in Y12 is the £2m loss in the UK, but we are dealing with a rapidly expanding global company to offset regional difficulties, and an excellnt management team to continue to turn UK around. Perhaps we will see a gradual but sustained rise in sp when the news sinks in, which at least will keep the day traders away, keep the faith.
just as we were getting a bit of stability back in the run up to what we feel will be a good RNS. Still the price didn't drop withthe rest of the market as Gecko's excellent comments as usual explain. Our patience should soon be rewarded.
