Morning Tymers - can I quiz you further on your point made at 08.09 this morning?
You are famous for your 88p prediction (which I hope ur right by the way) but your latest post goes on to say £5 if we get Hav and Telfer after considation (assume you mean consolidation). But to clarify if say it was a 10:1 consolidation then doesn’t that really mean we have a tenth of the number of shares so despite the SP going up tenfold it’s really only like having a current SP of 50p (which is not shabby, but your post reads as though the acquisition of Hav and Telfer would be less value to us than your 88p prediction - is that what you meant?? Thanks.

Hi Sharepoint - using your figures that would give us a 16.43p SP if my maths is correct as to where we are now and if our MCap increased to 3bn - quite happy to be corrected if I am wrong!!

I tend to agree with TT that regardless of the success or failure of Newmont’s bid for Newcrest, GGP will end up with 100% of Hav and Telfer, or as SD put it “an eye watering offer for our 30% of Hav”. It is the only thing that makes sense of the strength in depth of SD’s recruitment policy over the last 6-9 months. He has been gearing up for something, that seems obvious imho. Whichever way this pans out, I am happy to be guided by Callum Baxter who says we are in a win/win situation at GGP - bring it on!!!

Just thought the above heading was better repeated than the one Rob9 has been trying to propagate!!!

JJP - you say you’re not the crazy one but you are really aren’t you? With your posts this morning you can’t possibly be invested in 88E or else you’re going against your own warning - so if you’re not invested in 88E, why the hell are you on this Board spouting off warnings for everyone unless you’re crazy?!! Of course it might also be something to do with VAL where you do look to be heavily invested where you predicted it will go to 29p+ when the SP was over 12p and now it’s back to the 10p’s - with your success in investing why would anyone listen to your diatribe!! Do us a favour and stick to VAL???!!!

I don’t think we should underestimate the 2 Appointments that Shaun has just made. He has taken an experienced guy from Fortescue along with 2 other team members plus an appointment from Northern Star. Shaun seems to continue with the strategy of appointing the best people he can to surround himself. How does he know these are the best people? Because the Fortescue link is there from his earlier BoD appointments and Northern Star is his own previous stomping ground. These are significant appointments to get done what he wants to achieve at GGP i.e. transition us from explorer to miner by developing Hav. Very exciting times with a hugely focused and strategic CEO at our helm and the strongest possible BoD. VGLA!!!

….it’s like the dead have been woken up. I can’t be bothered to unfilter them as I can’t imagine for one second that they are predicting a positive outcome for GGP are they? The point is you can’t undiscover gold and copper and you can’t ignore the financial clout and expertise GGP has with Wyloo, the big banks and our new BoD. This will take some twists and turns before ANYONE knows how it will truly pan out - so I for one am not going to let the trolls get under my skin. Good luck all true Greatlanders and it will be good to hear Shaun’s take on this in due course.

Hi Bamps - thanks for sharing your opinion and I’m sure you’re right. I questioned the other day how easy would it be for NCM to exit the JV and until we know the legalities around that, any prospective NCM buyer will need to assess what’s going on Hav (if they hadn’t already). One thing I do feel satisfied with, is that Shaun battened down the hatches with his involvement of the big boys (Wyloo, the Banks and a strengthened BoD) in case they were needed - quite possibly they will be!!! Good luck to us all!!!

Hi Beverley - I think generally the closing price was 0.70p up 0.10p (16.67%) - some trading accounts do not sync the correct closing prices but tend to catch it up later.

Sorry Redtrader but I think you are well offline with this post. Firstly you state Havieron may not be big for Newcrest - do you know how many Tier 1 Gold Mine opportunities there are in the world and you think Newcrest after investing $hundreds of millions would now divest themselves of Hav? Doesn’t make sense. SB was ousted for reasons that will never be made public - he had bullying claims against him, he had shareholder no confidence votes go against him too and overall NCM shareholders were tired of no dividends now and all about jam tomorrow. Havieron has been drilled quicker than anyone could have expected but mainly because the cost of decommissioning Telfer would be even more financially devastating for NCM - do you still want to imply Havieron will be sold because it’s not big enough for NCM??
