I don’t suppose Rio will just let GGP take any gold we find as they only want copper will they? We are (getting) known for our seismic gold (and attached copper) find at Hav aren’t we? And then using the indicators of Hav to replicate exploration elsewhere? It is a bit of a nonsense to suggest the biggest miner in the world (Rio) only commissioned us to enter into a JV to only find new copper mines - they surely want us to find another Hav in Paterson South with whatever precious metals that uncovers?

Mmm MH - so why are Rio in a JV with GGP if they are not interested in gold? Also I only suggested Rio as a potential party who might enter a counter bid if Newmont left a gap to exploit. Remember Hav is not just any old gold/copper mine, it is the find of a lifetime (not my words). So I stand by my view that Newmont need to be careful if submitting a low offer for 30% of Hav - there are implications/consequences everywhere imho!!

I personally think that Newmont have a tricky decision to make if they think they can easily buy out our 30% of Hav. Pitch it too low and not just the fact that hopefully we will be able to reject it, but also they may open the floodgates to counter bids from elsewhere (Rio for one?) I am in the camp that just hopes the JV Partnership moves forward at pace and little GGP morphs from just an explorer but into a full blown JV Partner mining outfit, on the biggest Gold/Copper find in decades. Just my opinion.

Hi Bamps - your post at 8.33 am was spot on and you called it (again) before the RNS landed that you weren’t expecting these results to shoot the lights out. But as you say there are positives to what has been achieved thus far at EG and onwards and upwards. Thanks again.

By the way regardless of whether Chris Toon has gone or not, he has a pretty hard task master in Shaun who of course became our CEO from being a highly accomplished CFO at Northern Star. Not the first time I’ve seen a CEO who was an ex-CFO place too much expectation on his incoming CFO.

Either way, they are people who have not gone on PANR Board uninvested just to disrupt or rubbish it. Shame on those from PANR who have come on the 88E Board uninvested to do that very thing - fingers crossed we get the last laugh we deserve. VGLA.

Don’t get sucked in by anything Scot posts on an 88E Board where he has not one penny invested in 88E and loads invested in PANR. You have to ask yourself why is on here, what has he to gain? Is he so altruistic that he is really concerned for every 88E investor?? Don’t believe it for one second - imho he is seeking to unsettle every 88E investor either to get them to switch to PANR, or because he is dreading 88E flow test results catapulting 88E northwards. I greenbinned him ages ago and commend all true 88ers do the same - AIMHO.

Someone has suggested 88E is looking to get bought out, but the timing of attending the NAPE Summit seems bizarre coming before we get our first flow test results. Unless of course there is some forward planning going on??
