Roundtable Discussion; The Future of Mineral Sands. Watch the video here.
. . . it could have been a fishing expedition by Market Makers picking up cheap shares by triggering stop losses . . .
Or simply an algo testing the gap . . .
Still holding, waiting for news of improvement in transportation, coal price and how Oz is doing . . .
. . . here’s hoping that they take a bath . . .
Hold tight and watch those stop losses . . .
. . . in homage to the age old favourite - Where’s Wally?
Can you spot Terry? The befuddled muppet troll who loves to malign the management and prospects of many a company can be found in the bowels of LSE furious tapping away?
But it’s no easy task! He goes to ground when proven wrong (which is sadly far too frequently) and excels in displaying a whole load of hindsight without necessarily backing any of his wild claims with any evidence.
A short here, switching to long at the opportune moment there, always one step ahead of the market, never a misplaced trade. . . How does he do it? We all gasp in amazement as he deftly sidesteps a fall in valuations with a nifty little CFD - almost omnipotently placing a long at the foot of the Share Price valley. . .
What an oracle, such talent, oh to be as insightful. . .
Never has so much BS been spouted and smirked at by so many from so few . . .
Tezza - yes, I am talking about you my old mucka
I see that Terry F’wit (of Viz fame) has embarrassed himself monumentally this morning.
Perhaps when he’s gone home and changed his soiled underwear he’ll return a chastened better person . .
Tezza me old mucka you’re just embarrassing yourself by displaying your extreme ignorance. This will all be being done through corporate treasury on a pre-agreed basis - there’s nothing they can do about it. It’s a closed period so they’re not allowed to execute trades.
Terry my old bean I think that the problems afflicting SA are very well known and widely too.
For sure the real investors (II’s) that can impact the SP are thoroughly brief and these are already priced in.
I think that in Monday, the SP will rise following an upbeat appraisal from management on how these issues are being addressed.
Terry if you read the disclosure (have you?) you’ll see that the reason for the sale was to settle tax liabilities incurred arising from the award of the shares. Normal practice.
Looking to place another short and trash talk TGA to get tour beer tokens again Tezza me old mucka?
I call your B.S. mate
Thanks for your insightful analysis Walttortoise.
@TerryMC1
Do you have ANYTHING positive to say?
Short much Tezzer?
Hi there - bought in for the divi. Now underwater. Hhhmmm.
Wonder if others are like me?
Anyhow, SA seems to be in the crux of a perfect storm here.
IMO they have to resolve these power supply and transportation issues and quick smart or run the risk of becoming a failed state.
Not a short term play this share at all.
So, I will play the patient game . . . Going to average down at these prices.
Power supply shortages are a natural play for thermal coal prices. It’s dirty but quick to fix, a real shame to say it but when there is no ‘clean’ solution you just have to take what is on offer. Thermal coal prices are almost rock bottom now and the SP reflects that. It will recover but slowly. And the Rand is a bit of dog atm too sadly, but again the SA people and government can’t let that continue for too long for reasons outlined above.
So, I will hold and add over next 2-3 years
If UKOG “get there” in the same way they did for Horse Hill then this will sink like a stone (even further)
What oil? There is no oil proven to be present apart from some recovered ‘shows’ in the drilling fluids and reported hydrocarbon vapours detected during drilling.
The attempt to ‘kick’ the well into flowing at the depth that they are going to perforate failed - indicating that either 1. There is insufficient oil in place to flow or 2. It’s too tight to flow naturally and will will require unconventional recovery methods (fracking) - complex and expensive - not a gusher by anyone’s standards if it even flows at all.
Just a rational, valid counter opinion to the “get the oil flowing” comment . . .
What progress exactly JR90?
Repetition of previous RNS relating to oil shows in drilling fluid.
Explaining more expensive drilling / testing activities without clarifying if these are fully funded or over and above the originally planned activities.
Hinting a potential new zone below that originally identified, much deeper, potentially more complex and expensive to access . . .
No explanation regarding why swabbing failed to kick off flow . . .
Personally I now give chance of success on this well <2% but if you like a bit of risk . . .
JR90 - erm no
You’re wilfully missing the points being made
UKOG has taken millions of pounds from investors and returned nothing of material benefit.
Every time it’s the same storyline.
- a fantastic opportunity that only UKOG has been able to identify
- exploratory drill showing great signs of active oil structure
- even in the case of HH some reasonable initial results
- David Lenigas hypes it up all over Twitter
- SP spikes
- placing
- issues / problems with drilling
- initial results actually were slightly misleading
- actual results are not so good
- we can fix it
- placing
- no we cant
- SP tanks
- next exciting opportunity that only UKOG could find
- rinse
- repeat
The reasons for negativity on IKOG are warranted.
How much money has UKOG taken from investors through placings? Tens of millions.
Vs.
How many reserves do they have? Nothing material
How much production do they have? Almost negligible
How many dividends have they paid out? Zero
How has recent SP performance been? Abysmal (from 11p+ down to 0.07p)
People who come to this board for constructive discussion need to be presented with opinions from both sides (both negative as well as positve) as well as the facts - which are there in the companies web site UKOGplc dot com
All the RNS showing placing after placing after placing.
All the RNS hinting at jam tomorrow and great unexploited opportunities which ultimately turn to dust.
You may argue that Turkey will discover oil. Given the results so far and the fact this license area is peppered with dry exploratory wells, it doesn’t look like a very high Chance of Success to me.
Do your own research obviously but investing in this company comes with a serious amount of risk to your capital
Well said Penguins
