George Frangeskides, Chairman at ALBA, explains why the Pilbara Lithium option ‘was too good to miss’. Watch the video here.
I wish I hadn't bought at 302p. But I'm out now and won't buy in until I see evidence that CNA can take the price back up to those levels. That is unlikely to happen in my lifetime. I hated selling at an approx £2 per share loss. But I watched my DEB shares fall from 56p to 0p. I won't let that happen again.
I believe that Ed Miliband initiated the price drop when he said in 2013 Labour would freeze energy prices. CNA suffered an immediate fall and never recovered the confidence of the share markets.
I don't mind an occasional drop in sp, my portfolio can handle it. But when I watched a good company like DEB continuing to give a good dividend while presiding over a nosediving sp it has made me nervous. The bozos that are running CNA seem not to understand the business. They are just watching the customer base shrink and profits fall while awarding themselves millions in their pay packets.
kosso1 I've lost more than a few pence on the share with my holding. I've benefited from the dividends but it does not alter the fact that the board and management are inept when it come to maintaining shareholder value. When I see the share on a steady climb back to 302p then I'll get aboard again. Good luck, folks.
I am just thinking of selling my CNA bought at 302p after many years; indeed it is a good dividend payer. But, the BOD had no focus on share price whatsoever. Can they turn this sp around? How many times have I thought sp must be near the bottom? But I thought the same of DEB; a BOD took the price from 100p to 0p in a couple of years in spite of doing reasonably good business. If the BOD don't get more focus on sp then I am out which means if it gets to 100p it is in serious danger. So maybe I should sell at a big loss and put my money into LLOY. Next week will tell.
In all its previous manifestations, Gartmore Global etc, this has done well. I like to keep a rack of ITs; helps dampen the misery of my individual stocks like DEB and CNA. I have also done well through JMC and JRS, just to risk a piece of the money in China and Russia. They have both done well.

Very good luck to you spindok. I too am thankful for the dedication of my NHS Consultant and her team in Aberdeen, I got a very bad diagnosis just over a year ago. My "bad back" turned out to be something called multiple myeloma. I'd advise people to get to know a bit about it. For now, my festering share portfolio helps keep my mind on other things.
There's a bit of discussion about Miton and Nostra Terra here:

I'm back in SOU this morning purely on the basis of the speculation that's around.
As usual I just need to make sure I don't treat SOU as a pet. I am in SOU to make money, and this time will set aside all emotion and take a profit when I see it. The MMs are in control. All I can do is buy and sell my wee holding from time to time.
