All in all, positive however.

Someone help me out here , the initial acquisition of $1.5m to blue star came with the promise to fund the next six wells at c$0.45m a well, and that would get the business cash flow generative by h1 2025.

We all know there have been delays, but why does galactica now need another £4.5m?

Also the original investment thesis was for £2m p.a cash to he1 once up and running; so it’s quite the over spend.

The gaps there, I can see 70-75p. The selling yesterday was really large (nearly 20m), and the price held up quite well really.

Maybe so relief if the interest rates fall however wirh rumours of forcing pension contributions much higher I expect there is just some fatigue in backing companies in the U.K. that keep getting kicked from the government, but jd also has tarrifs to manage.

(I note jd cannot be compared to other ftse companies like Lloyds, that is rallying on the perceived inflation risks and spreads increasing net interest )

Yep hot weather could be really good for jd, if they’ve got their stock in - just like it should be for weatherspoons etc.

I would add today’s gdp contribution from retail sales was shockingly weak.

I’ve not looked at which part of sales but that’s probably some pressure

Competitor exposure to the us is the main tarrif issue, as Jd is a major retailer to that country vs some you mentioned.

I’m bullish on jd , the cash and brand is good. Some calm is needed on the tarrifs , Nike and now the us acquisition, and that’s where I believe the market sees the pricing.

Outside of that, I don’t see current strength as bullish on a technical level until 92 p is passed

The markets are more concerned with Jd sports as they are a reseller mainly, that impacts the margin mitigation.

I think so - I’ve been looking at tariffs and pass throughs: a 10% tariff would be material for jd, so I think some of that nervousness is here. Add to that the us acquisition became less attractive based on all this import noise .

Goldmans never mentioned cutting the dividend and their target is £2.5 neutral.

Lgen doesn’t need capital to fund growth in its PRT , its annuity business is not negative working capital.

Lgen also has plenty of surplus capital generation, the question goldmans has is can it continue to generate cash from that surplus after the Us is gone. Lgen say they can and they’re doing way better than people think, Goldman’s and the market says “show us first”

I think Us payrolls . Goldmans is old news, the surplus is clear; the cash flow isn’t but it’s been sorted by the sale in the us.

Don’t forget we’ve had the minor equity purchase as well as part of the US venture …
