Yep,
Holocene was surrendered and RIO grabbed pretty much straight away...looks like a friendly.
This will give RIO all the remaining Scallywag targets and put them right on our doorstep. Will be real interesting if we get some big numbers from Ddh drilling.

Not sure if already posted, but Rio have now secured the ground directly on the southern boundary of Haverion...things are definitely looking / heating up.

A company called Range River Gold had Black Hills before they went broke on another project in West Australia. This excerpt is direct from their report in 2003 ( very little or no exploration up until Greatland.)

" CONCLUSIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS
Previous detailed exploration has been focussed over the main Black Hills domal
structure. Significant drilling by Carr Boyd, Duval, Newcrest and more recently
Normandy Exploration has intersected extensive gold mineralisation. A current
resource figure of 0.8 @ 1.79g/t Au is quoted for the Eastern Zone resource.
There is good potential to define a large tonnage economic gold occurrence and
increase the Eastern Zone Resource. Previous RAB and RC drilling and surface lag
and rock chip sampling indicates that the Eastern Zone mineralisation may extend
along strike to the NW and SE. The mineralised corridor (4 x 0.5 km) also has
potential for deep sulphide zone in the footwall to the fold axis on the north-east flank
of the main dome."
A fair bit of potential with modern exploration techniques I would think...GH and CB will be onto it..

Geologists are notorious for drilling holes in the wrong places..... Callum would be having a rethink with the latest data and, bugger it ... drill ten holes and once and for all see whats there.
As i have said before... you dont get a intersection like hole 1, and not have a significant halo of gold around it. Just which direction and depth. Could still b huge...

I think the geos that looked after the diamond rig and who would have logged the core, sawed it in half and then sent to the lab, would have a very good idea if the core was carrying grade/ mineralisation. If I was Callum , I would have been in daily contact and wanting to know how good does the core look boys.
This is why I think GH and CB were looking like cats that ate the canary at the interview.... just my opinion.

As I said earlier today, RIo have just blanket pegged the ground surrounding Haverion, to the east and north...they are sitting up and taking notice.

I would be very surprised if the other holes dont intersect mineralisation....you dont get that thick an intercept without the spread imo. Cant remember seeing those numbers in 25 yrs of exploration experience in WA.
Also of note ...there has been a flurry of pegging in the last 24hrs alongside ggp licence....and Rio Tinto is one of them.
