Things are looking good. SP slightly down on the day from yesterday's nice finish. Despite trolls warnings shorts practically unchanged for a while @ 6.71% so nothing to worry about there either.
By my reckoning the strike will be cancelled or delayed until after Christmas when it will have negligable effect apart from wage packets. The RMG report on 22nd Nov will be positive. SP will climb to divi day. Tories will win with a majority. Plus of course our loved ones get their Christmas cards and pressies.

Problem these days is that there is manipulation in so many areas. We see it also with the SP.
Now we have advice such as how to vote strategically, parties working together etc. What happened to an individual voting for a party with clear manifestos that they kept to.
The World is in a mess.

Nuri. They have the right to strike of course. However they also have the right to freedom of decision making.
They provide their labour in exchange for what seems reasonable T & C in this day and age. If the worker considers their labour is compensated in a reasonable manner they MUST! be allowed freedom from intimidation which is obviously not the case.
If they choose to strike of their own free will, so be it. However if they are coerced in any way the poll is not free and fair. It must be cancelled and conducted according to legal guidelines.
There is no place in a Democracy for such pressures to be placed on those merely seeking to earn their living

Imagine the bullying that goes on behind closed doors where CWU members of a particular type are able to confront others just trying to go about their working day.

Not at all surprised, I have been waiting for this. It is so obvious that the poll was not allowing free expression of will.
As the report details this is just one example :-
being asked to intercept and remove their ballot papers from mail coming into their delivery offices, before they were delivered to their homes;

· being instructed to vote "yes" and being encouraged to do so in groups; and

· being encouraged to open their ballot papers on site, mark them as "yes", with their colleagues present and filming or photographing them doing so, before posting their ballots together at their workplace postboxes.
