Europe flat premarket, ahead of second round of talks30 Mar 2022 08:05
Major stock indexes in Europe traded mostly flat in premarket ahead of the second round of talks between Russia and Ukraine. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky called yesterday's talks positive, adding, however, that the question of lifting sanctions against Russia cannot be raised until the country ceases its military operation in Ukraine.
DAX was flat at 8:01 am CET, while CAC 40 lost 0.17% at the same time. FTSE 100 was flat at 8:02 pm CET.
The euro traded 0.23% higher against the dollar, selling for 1.11118 at 7:58 am CET, while the pound added 0.21% against the greenback, to sell for 1.131212 a minute later.
