Scotman,
i am so sorry for this outcome for you and thousands of other investors.
Those who have profited in terms of exorbitant salaries and have been spending money like water all of which was earned off the backs and hard work of people like you should be ashamed of themselves and should be exposed for parasites that they are.
ffc,
May well be a massive blow to you when you dont get up and running or indeed the company goes bust and a biggee comes in and buys it for a £1
I am not normaly as harsh as this but when you seem joyed at the prospect of over 500 peoples jobs being put at risk i wish you all that you deserve.
Scotman,
Cmon rangersraver, you talk like Boulby is your football team. It’s a business but like a football team it needs another to play against.
Woodsmith is arguably the best thing that happened to the workforce of Boulby for over a decade!
Boulby has over the last 50 years employed over 5,000 seperate people many families have had 3 generations working here to compare it to a football team is just nonsense.
Without Boulby East Cleveland would be derilect now in much the same way as old coal mining areas not too far away from us.
Now i'm not saying that if Woodsmith gets off the ground it wont be a good thing for the area but also it would be the death of East Cleveland if it resulted in the closure of Boulby.
PM2 & Scotman I dont believe ICL will ever buy Sirius nor vice versa.
Chesh,
Already had an offer which i turned down flat better long term prospects here at boulby, not that i need much in the way of longterm.
Poly,
Where would the lads jump to?
The mine is actually taking staff back from the Woodsmith project plus quite a few new pepole recently with over 20 new jobs still to fill and a further 15 vacancy's at Teesdock.
Boulby has for 50 years been the employment back bone of East Cleveland and will remain so i hope for another 25 years.
Scotman,
No idea! possibly someone took unbrage and reported it
Poly and I are both very experienced miners that much is clear I have over 30 years mining to fall back on.
GC left the mine in the very early stages of our poly journey and had very limited information at the time of leaveing Boulby have undergone a Quantum leap in terms of knowledge and know how since GC time.
Mines that mine the tonnes that you are claiming will be mining a softer mineral and as Poly said will most probably usin the longwall Pansa method.
I take my hat off to you all who have placed your hard earned in this venture however this mine will never reach anymore than 10 million Tonnes per year (and that is ambitious) for those who have invested their lifes savings i hope dearly that this comes off but truth is the Key.
Pollyminer2
Absolutly bang on 5 million is the maximum the mine will produce at full tilt in the first 10 t0 15 years after that maybe then up to around 8 million on retreat mining.
Gk,
Well thought out and sensible post.
Last bit below.
it is just impossible to tell if the business will still be here 12 months from now.
Just a very busy guy ffc just a very busy guy
So where are you going to get this polyhalite from that your going to run through this plant?

Government response to the petition.
UK Government and Parliament
Petition Provide Sirius minerals with full Loan Guarantee from HM treasury.
Sirius minerals is currently building a multi billion pound fertilizer mine in Yorkshire which will boost exports and create thousands of jobs locally and nationally. the government as of today will not fully support this project with loan guarantees.
More details
The government will not take a stand and guarantee the jobs for thousands of UK workers in the form of a FULL loan guarantee, all the time companies are currently making redundancies, Jaguar Land rover for instance currently set to make 4000 plus redundant. Get your priorities straight, stop squabbling about Brexit which is eroding this country and fund this project, your country needs it.

Well hello Scotman my old friend, I haven't really been gone just popping in and out without saying much, just got a little bit peed off that the tax payer should help to bail out Sirius when it should be flying on its own by now.
Bouncer at ICL???
Pray tell why should the tax payer bail out this private company
