I am not saying that the following I post is the company involved with Physiomics.

There is a UK biotech company that has raised multi millions to Advance its Phase 2 Rheumatoid Arthritis Trial and Expand Pipeline. This trial due to start December 2025, and could take 2.5 years.

The company has links with Weatherden, plus a number of other companies.

With the compound they are using, it is alluded to the initiation of preclinical investigation in other disease areas, including women’s health and chronic inflammatory conditions.

Number of projects in pipeline with Serious Bacterial Infections (SBI’s)

GARDP is working towards its ambitious goal to deliver five new treatments by 2025. Its portfolio now includes approved and investigational treatments for serious bacterial infections and sepsis in adults, children and newborns, as well as drug-resistant gonorrhoea.

With critical support from our funders, we will potentially expand our portfolio during the period 2024-2028 with four new projects that align with our disease area strategy. GARDP will also consider any new priorities identified by WHO and related areas such as antifungal resistance.

The aim of this latest Innovate UK funded grant, “Precision Risk Evaluation and G-CSF Dosing for Chemotherapy-Induced Neutropenia Tool”, known as PREDICT-ONC (“Project”), is to further develop and evaluate the software’s ability to predict GCSF dosing. The Project, being run in partnership with Beyond Blood Diagnostics Limited (“Beyond Blood Diagnostics”) and Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (“Blackpool Teaching Hospitals”) will recruit breast cancer patients undergoing standard of care GCSF treatment onto an observational clinical trial in order to predict and measure the effect treatment has on neutropenia. The data resulting from this trial will support the refinement and evaluation of the software.

Although, due to reasons outside of our control, the approval for the PREDICT-ONC observational trial has been somewhat delayed from the initial target of summer 2024, the project team believes that recruitment can start imminently and the overall impact on completion timelines will be kept to the minimum (projected for Oct-Dec 2025).

We’re kicking things off this week at ISoP ACoP 2025 (18-21 October) – one of the key gatherings for those shaping the future of quantitative drug development.

Dr Mark Davies , our Head of Quantitative Pharmacology and Data Science, will be joining fellow experts in Colorado to explore the latest advances in QSP, PK/PD, pharmacometrics, and MIDD – and discuss how these data-driven techniques can be applied to refine decision-making, optimise trials, and accelerate progress from lab to clinic.

Our next stop will be Vienna for BIO-Europe (2–5 November) – Europe’s largest life sciences partnering event.

It’s shaping up to be an exciting couple of days, with discussions on topics like mathematical oncology, optimising cancer treatment, and modelling to enhance immunotherapies – all areas that resonate strongly with the work we do at Physiomics plc.
