Can you enlighten us please? Italy could well not pay as far as I understand it. That will kick off more legal and yet other processes. I can see the Italian public being very much in support of their government pulling their finger at an Oil company, especially in this climate change concern era.

So some other government would have to agree to impounding Italian assets, I think some might not ! Wouldn't be good for the EU now would it,? If member states started impounding fellow members assets for Oil companies. If they did, it gives the right wing of Italy and beyond tools to dismantle the EU.

Personally I don't like how Sam & Co have conducted themselves in buying a disputed asset with a national government. I also dont think that companies should be this imposing on a sovereign states decisions about its own assets !
