I think the directors under estimated the importance of good will and trust. If shareholders feel betrayed they’ll leave. Simple as. Especially people who have £100k+ invested here. They’ll bail..
You shaft the shareholders and the shareholders shaft you.
Is it possibly to cancel a placing order?
I’m going to re-assess my decision to order 10k shares at 80p by COB today. Looks worse than I thought.
If I can buy these shares for 80p next week there is no reason to tie up my money for several weeks to buy at 80p in placing.
Yeh I always find it hilarious when people think this forum can move share prices.
Ramping and de ramping doesn’t move share prices.
There are investors with hundreds of thousands, possibly millions, invested here. They don’t make investment decisions based on what’s said on an Internet forum. If they are selling and moving on it’s because they’ve calculated the risk here, not because some stranger on the internet told them it’s going down to £1.
Yeh I’m nervous about my placing order. I put in order for 10,000 shares at 80p. This could well drop below 80p and we all get royally screwed.
I suspect a lot of the rampers have already derisked. Taken their original investment out and leaving profits on a free ride.
Mate, Tuesday evening you said this would be 400p by Thursday. Yesterday you said today would be blue.
The cheek of some people saying to others they bought at the wrong price. You are the same people when SP was £2+ you were encouraging people to buy and saying it will double to £4 by the end of the week.
Before opening today I predicted close at 150p and got shot down and called every name under the sun.
The trend here is clear. I think this will hit £1 next week, maybe even lower. Then it might start to bounce back the week after providing there is any good will and trust left in this company.
One guy on here was prediction 400p by Thursday even after the placing RNS had landed.
Do your own research chaps - it’s best not to listen to me or anyone else on here. I’ve been spiked on other stock in the past. I know exactly how it feels.
Those saying good news to come, the market already knows. We know CE mark is coming, we know production and profit margins etc.
I don’t see any news coming which isn’t expected. I could be proved wrong.
The institutional investors also know the news to come. The board know. They’ve done the number crunching.
Yet 80p was agreed as fair price. This was done when the testing kit had been made, they knew they were applying for CE mark, they had agreement with Cytiva. All was known.
SP closed at 110p last Thursday. How we are now at 160p is beyond me.
Those thinking £1 isn’t possible have a very short memory span. 27 April the SP was around 80p. That is 9 working days ago.
Why can’t the share price retrace 9 days?
None of us know how low it will go. At the moment it’s all guess and saying whatever favours your position.
I ordered some 80p shares. But I suspect I’ll be able to buy some under £1 on the market soon anyway.
GLA
Correct.
It would be good to know on what date the WHO approval was received. The RNS with this news was released on 4th May. I doubt that was the date of the approval. And they would have known it was in the pipeline for weeks prior anyway (it has nothing to do with Covid).
When they were negotiating the placing price they also knew the fundamentals of the company. They knew it’s worth...
AVCT placing was 18p when the share price was 21p.
The placing was close to sp. That is smart placing. After placing, further positive news took the share price higher.
What I find tragic is that many people are struggling financially right now (unemployed, furloughed etc). Economically these are the toughest times.
The rampers, derampers and everyone in between are only looking out for themselves and in the process have encouraged some who are on the bread line, in their desperation, to invest their savings/loans in stock. Bigbench posted a few days ago that a mate of his put his last £10k on this (without his wife’s knowledge) - that is reckless to the extreme. But I understand people’s desperation in these difficult times.
I genuinely feel for those. The standard advice for investing applies here folks: do your own research and only invest what you can afford to lose.
Non of us want to make a profit from someone else’s hardship.
AIM is a casino as someone said. Enjoy the ride.
My guess is open 170p and close 150p. May be a lot of volatility in between. But things totally unpredictable, who knows...
Ok. I’ll back off. As I said I’ve put in an order for 10,000 shares at 80p. Hope I get some allocated. If I can make a decent profit (more than 20%) I’ll be a happy bunny. And if any of your wild predictions come true then amazing! GLA
Zahir predicts 400p by Thursday close.
He made this prediction yesterday evening. AFTER the placing news.
This is from Garyfromleeds last night - I agree with every word:
TODAY JUST MADE ME QUIT THIS SHARE !!!
05 May 2020 23:44
Todays carry on has been a total **** take at the expense of the private investors ! shafted this morning and shafted again after trading hours with the 80p share Bxllocks !
This morning was utterly dreadful and I wouldn't be surprised if this share got suspended for that alone ! Something doesn't sit right with me about whats going on ! maybe the gold rush with this share has gone to some peoples heads ?
Those saying 75p is absurd forget two key facts:
1. Two weeks ago the share price was 70p. What has changed in 2 weeks?
2. Placing price is 80p. Institutional investors were not willing to pay more than 80p. And GDR were willing to accept 80p offer.
But sp was 88p last Monday. What’s substantially changed in a week?
There has been no Covid news since then.
Share price:
Last week Monday 88p
Last week Thursday 110p
The above share prices were before the placing news hit the market. The impact could drive the prices back by 7 days. Then the placing price won’t seem such a bargain.
But I don’t see share price dropping below 80p by 28 May. Especially if there is some positive news in RNS.
