Hello also Bronxville son, I do not know what your background is and to be honest I'm not worried. We are about to have a presidential election in Ireland and what I want is this: A president who will promote equal opportunity for all, an inclusive society, protection for the poor, weak, old and disenfranchised. I want a person who knows what it's like to make their own way and get their own position in life rather than being handed it by their fathers or mothers or leeching it from society or obtaining it with the help of the media. I want someone who will look at and at least acknowledge those who work hard, are driven to see equal rights and opportunity for all our people and those who make this place their home. I want someone who will stand out for what they are and not what they try or want to be. I do not want more of the same or Higgins / Robinson types who are there by convenience and because they were lucky not to have any competition for the position but who sometimes use it even after it ends to promote their own personal agenda. I hope that we get it but sadly from the quality of the candidates so far I weep.
