There are no winners is the sorry mess that is Brexit. We have brother against brother, sister against sister and so on.
There has to be an end to this somewhere and there will be but it may not be the end that we as reasonable beings want or would like. The longer is takes to reach that end the more bitter the debate will get as rational thinking gives way to irrational behavior brought on by no way out. Reasonable people and reasonable thinking is getting hammered and common sense harder to find amongst the political class. We are losing our direction and our reasoning by what is becoming all consuming.
Not one post here is this small sample people has referred to why the EU was created indeed partly by us in the first place. Think about it.
Some of us seem to have gone so far in our thinking that we blame the EU for every trouble we have.
An irrational thought process is beginning to take hold.
There is an air of “I want, I want, we want, we want and must get with no consideration for the weak and less privileged creeping in. Indeed that attitude is getting stronger.
Blame the EU., blame the minorities, blame the backstop, blame the people who come to live and work here and indeed some were our forefathers.
Alas blame is not a solution.
This may be the start of a change (possibly worldwide) that those of us who live long enough will regret ever happened.
Mass thinking and mass hysteria as we know from recent history is a very dangerous thought process.
When our thinking allows and drives us to sacrifice a lot for a little or maybe less than what we have we should worry about our future. When moreover respect for fellow man, neighbors and nations who were and are our friends is attacked and damaged we are not protecting the most important aspects of our daily lives.
