Its very clear that Morrisons appointed investment bank Houlihan Lokey to explore options for McColl's for a good reason. ( I assume Morrisons are footing the bill for that )
McColl's may be a hot potato at present, but no way are Morrisons going to drop it.
£1B Turnover CAN NOT be ignored by any retail group. Did the Issa brothers walk away or did Morrisons ask them to leave?
The store refits are happening at pace and recruitment continues.... the Bank would have insisted on the company sorting the chaff from the wheat, come up with a plan to close non-performing shops and re-brand the performing ones. Together with some sort of guarantee from Morrisons i think restructured support from the Bank is pretty much in the bag! fingers crossed...

Oh... and by the way McColls management if your reading this, please get rid of the the brand 'Safeway' asap !! its bloody confusing.... we shop in McColls NOT Safeway! ( fingers crossed it will all be Morrisons own brand soon anyway)
