which is the most cost effective option for Morrisons to secure the business? without liabilities from the Administrator or to make an offer of say 10p and take on everything as is? I don't know how big the winding up costs are.
Most would now sell for 10p inc long term holders. The downbeat Easter Trading RNS was clearly to reign in the SP for some reason....

Mountainous - I think you will find that the outcome will be that Morrisons will 'Acquire' ie 'NOT PAY FOR' the shops! They will be made to sound like the good guys by taking on a lot of exciting McColls staff, and the Bank wont lose out either!
Monday's RNS was a real eye opener to the dyer state of affairs.... no wonder Jonathan ran away early..... Morrisons dont need him!
To me now the shares have NO value and NO potential.

Both are important as each other. However, i grant you that without a profit no business will be in business for very long and running around like headless chickens achieves absolutely nothing. Truthfully, at present i find the retail experience of going in to a McColl's shop quite depressing. as the ambience is totally crap and most of the staff don't give a monkeys, assuming there are staff somewhere ( sorry to the guy on here who manages a shop) I do not get that feeling going in to any Morrisons store..... quite the opposite. With the 20% uplift in T/O i think may be i'm not alone in my thinking. As the saying go's T/O is vanity and profit is sanity. Yes it's the margins that need improving but at least they do still have the foot fall to be able to do that. Someone decided that the rot had to stop from the top ( goodbye Jonathan Miller) and what was needed is someone who has the experience to turn the boat around and i stand by my gut feeling it could be ex co-op man Steve Murrells. No ramping required if that is announced..... strait to 'Go' and collect £200!
