Good interview? Come on, seriously? We've been shafted good and proper. I've bought in numerous times along the journey. I always thought we'd dip, but never, ever this far down. In any other business AS would be gone.
Empty promises....ifs, buts and maybes. I've been totally negative on here over the last couple of weeks, but tonight I'm angry.
@MrRipley Solid actual news, is like what you say, what we are all waiting on. But maybe the original poster was saying it a bit tongue in cheek, or maybe he's just been hopeful. Either way, let's hope we get one soon. My problem and I am sure lots of others are in the same boat, but as the days go by, that willy touching the roof seems very unlikely. I'm feeling more like a little acorn on a cold winters night.
100% agree. The lack of updates on LFTs in 2021 has been ridiculous, compared to the constant 'we have the best test ' updates in 2021.
I'm not looking for good news every day, but I would like regular, clear, balanced, insightful updates from AS and team. I don't think it's too much to ask. Hopefully Capital will take the bull by the horns and hit the ground running.
@zoom0001 Very strange? I think you'll find that conversation on here is at it's peak when things are going down rather than up.
As I said, I don't tend to post on here as folks are quick to criticise others for purely voicing an opinion that may not match their own. A good example was my post below, where I mentioned my own personal experience and my opinion and then was called out for being disingenuous.
@Zoom0001 Love the fast that you deem me as disingenuous and not a long term holder. You are posting from behind your keyboard, I am posting from behind me.
I have barely posted on here as I constantly see someone daring to voice an honest opinion and then being criticised for being a deramper or being too positive and being someone trying to drive the price up.
FYI. I have held AVCT shares for 19 months. I'll let you decide whether I'm a long term holder or not.
I see that @Doctor100 also thinks that I'm disingenuous too. I don't know this person. This person doesn't know me.
Let's all hope that things turn around for us and Avacta soon.
I hope so buddy. I agree that there is a lot of covid stuff that is about to come crashing down on this government. Most likely more golden handshakes and contracts for mates will come out of the woodwork.
My family and I have had personal experience of what you suggest. Negative LFTs. Cheap imports from China telling giving us inaccurate results. Personally, I think this is a huge problem, but a problem that the government deny is an issue.
That said, even if Avacta do fast track a fix (which I'm not confident that they will), I'm still unsure whether it will be 'game on'. It won't be game on in the UK, that ship has sailed and sunk. Possibility into the EU, but surely the EU have numerous countries internally that they will buy from. Possibility into the US, but the US are world leaders in this stuff. I'm not sure why they would be buying from us.
I love your optimism, but I'm feeling very flat about my Avacta investment. Hopefully I'm completely and utterly wrong, but the last 12 months has taught me a lot about Avacta.
@MCB55 I agree with what you say, but isn't your last point 'Avacta are in this for the duration' the problem. The duration is now. The duration is the last 18 months. We've missed the last 18 months and we're not on sale today. When will tomorrow come?
Not something that I noticed either but a really valid point. My only concern though; if this could be such a quick turn around, and they knew announcing it this way would hammer the share price, why didn’t the RNS read something like ‘this is a temporary measure, we know how to fix it, we think it will take a couple of weeks, at which point we’ll be back on sale and have revalidated the best test in the world’.
@M300 A test that never existed? Was never being sold? Was no interest to 'anyone'?
Really? I'm guessing you were one of those shareholders that was never interested in a lateral flow test and never thought that the share price might rise because of it.
@jc1968 - Some maybe, yes. But not all.
I come on here every day and read. I don't often post. Today I felt like posting, maybe it's due to my dismay at how this SP has performed over the last 12 months. From such optimism, to where we sit today. I don't think any of us could have predicted this. Yes, there would be highs and lows, but I'm not sure anyone thought it would be back this low again.
I also accept that Avacta is not just a LFT business (thankfully at this stage), but that said, I think (and I repeat 'I think', just my opinion), a lot of shareholders have lost faith in the leadership at Avacta. The excitement that was generated, the huge number of positive RNS announcements. It all now feels very hyped. Fur coat and no knickers.
I'm not a troll. I'm a disappointed, and probably naive shareholder as I'm sure a lot of people on this board are.
I don’t see too many trolls on here. I see a bunch of people who have lost faith in Avacta and it’s leadership and a lot are jumping ship with a fear of this SP dropping to what it was pre-test announcement.
