Those profits were the result of the changes she brought in ,it doesn't happen over night.
In 2012 the first year she was in charge TC made a loss of £590m , she cannot change things straight away , takes a while to close shops, make staff redundant etc
In the last 7 yrs TC has made a loss of £1billion , will this be increased to £2billion in 8 years by the end of this september?

Furthermore if you look over the last 10 years and add it up it is one massive loss
2019 is gonna be a shocker

The years you quote were very minimal profits, decent profits were made under HG but these were short term and short lived
She made some easy wins, they were not sustainable

It is fact the insurers have employed PWC as advisors to get involved as they are concerned about TC defaulting on package holiday commitments
No they don't have to sell the tour ops business .... yet
and regarding the airline sale IMO i don't think it will be enough to cover the debt IF it ever happens ...now 5 months and counting since they asked for bids
So regarding the insurance comment it is FACT , the airline comment is my opinion NUMBNUTS

Jed of course they have been forced to sell, have you not been keeping up with the news?
1. Massive debt, they are going cap in hand to banks and have had to demonstrate they will have cash to repay the loan , hence sell the airline to raise that cash
2. Many years of losses posted (HG came in and made some profits by cutting costs - but they got rid of her)
3. The insurers are now insisting they get closer to the business as they are concerned about providing insurance to their customers
4 Q2 announcements look at these they admit times are tough and they are having to do stuff they would not like to do but is necessary

I am referring to general comments across the board, not specifically yours, however, given we have already had Q1 and Q2 announcements which have resulted in the potential break up of the business and indeed the potential end of it should it be sold to Fosun you are still being positive about its prospects next week.

Scarlet i too cannot wait until the next news release , i seem to remember though when Q2 (which were awful the worst ever) came out you still made excuses and said we needed to wait longer
