I agree I was shocked to see that happen at that price. But it's one thing to sell some of his holding to raise funds - afterall if you need cash you have to do what you have to.
I can't think he had no idea of future plans when selling to MMX, so if he thought he could triple the return he'd have taken cash sale I'd have thought if other ventures needed a lot of cash to get going.
That sale and others around the same time may well be wise in the long term for SJL and other shareholders as it may enable a strategic buyer to start getting involved and thus be the start of the sale exit (HOPEFULLY) at a much higher price than today and by that I do not mean 8p.
I'd be surprised if SJL saw 8p as an attractive sale of the whole company when he has justified higher value as a breakup excluding any enterprise value or consolidation synergies to an acquirer.
What makes you think that?
I'm of the opinion he wouldn't.
If you look at the SP when he sold to MMX he's lost a packet (on paper) and I understand he turned down all-cash offers to take MMX option as he saw better long term value. With that in mind is struggle with your opinion on SJL taking 8p now.
In 1 transaction or 2? Could it be some sort of buy/sell transfer trade?
Indeed that is certainly some volume...! That's going to be very interesting to see notification...
Yes that would be a very good sign! They too can buy my shares for $6 each... Shame someone can't place a decimal place correctly in a calculation...
Farruggia - Thanks for the quick response and guidance. That works through the numbers perfectly!
Hi, I'm looking for some assistance please on understanding the various share consolidations/and equity restructures that have happened since 2008.
I have recently sold a number of TAP shares that I've held since the 2008 era of BLNX, and trying to understand/calculate the purchase cost attached to these. To complicate matters further, my trading platform has merged and also switched it's platform twice in this period meaning archived transactions and it's nigh on impossible for me to find the relevant transactions!
I also transferred a holding to another party who also held BLNX shares and they have now sold but now trying to work out which were which and how much is subject to CGT etc...
My recollection is as follows. BLNX became RTHM, RTHM undertook a share consolidation (?), then RTHM recently became TAP? For example how may TAP shares would I hold today from an initial holding of 14000 BLNX? Any assistance would be very much appreciated!
May well not be any new price sensitive news bring released from a company perspective but it may well be an opportunity for Toby to engage a different audience with that news that is already out and help them to understand what value disconnect there is between today and the future impact of what has been released but perhaps not well understood or acknowledged. Any thoughts?
It appeared from the conversation on the day that there had been an RNS but I couldn't find it here or even searching on the "other" LSE! It's still not available here... strange!
Sorry, needed the cash to get a chocolate bar... used my free trading credit in my account! Alternatively... no idea. Lol.
Let's hope we sell a few k regs on day 1 then with the $10k fee! That'll be a nice little earner... I guess the .eth will be phased out given it's unofficial status a lower flexibility in that it will not resolve. I guess once phased out they'll just pay for .luxe and no longer .eth.
Re-reading it (that's a hyphen not a minus ;-) ) you're right that's how it reads on second read after you've explained it!
Guess you mean 70% renewals not 30%? If that's achievable it's certainly a nice little earner.
That's strange, my first post disappeared. I said his posts were still there but I was unable to access LSE all day yesterday, guess site was down? Second post was referring to share price finally responding! 208p... May have to sell a few in the morning if it holds!
Oh I think looking at my last post the market has finally woken up to MMX real value... hope it lasts until market open. May have to sell out...
Posts are still there but I was unable to access LSE all day yesterday, guess site was down?
What are your thoughts on the dividend strategy / level / timeframe? Personally was hoping for a sale after c.7+ (I think... can't remember first purchase it's that long ago...) but didn't believe it was going to happen due to the timeframe of the review. But a long term progressive tax free income is not to be sniffed at providing it's at a nice level... Not quite sure what to expect or what MMX can support though in the 18mth window. I certainly hope I've read it correctly that divi during not in 18 months so could be 6 month for example and progressive from there. A few years of that and then a properly valued sale would be a nice compensation for a decade of investment.
Looking forward to the Proactive Investor interview with TH. I do hope they explore the actual TLDH's they've bought...
Agree Dan. Curveball for sure but LT could be a real smart value enhancing move.
Sounds a good fit for your handle Johnny!
