I would like to pass comment on this post to endorse the jump in volume statement but do not want to be classed as a ramper and therefore jeopardise my position at 61.
So I will say that it appears to be that people have being buying shares under some illusion that it could be a worthwhile exercise. However I am sure that there is a mathematical expression which could indicate this to not be the case

So AB also indicated that they had 'freshened up' the sales team. I wonder if that is an indication that the existing team have not been as active as would be liked or that the new people coming in have better contacts and potential to offer. To be fair to the existing team it is hard to sell something when it is not fully ready or when the strategy changes ie emphasis moving towards EV charging. Just thought it was unusual to mention that in an interview

One thing I haven't seen is how long is the extension for the JDA - what would be a standard length for such an extension 2 years or 3 years? I can't see it only being for a year as that seems no time at all but nothing I have read anywhere indicated timescales

I certainly take some comfort that De Nora are extending and putting their name out there on this. If there was any doubt about the validity of the electrodes, potential or timescales to bring to market then I'm sure they would have not extended the JDA. Will be interesting to see if this RNS has much of an impact on the SP

certainly no complaints from me with today's rise, hopefully an indication of news to come this week. I've been looking around for any reports but haven't seen anything specifically mentioning AFC. Wonder if it is based on the Queensland government funding and strategy plan announced last week, hopefully Southern Oil is a big part of that plan.
Will be interesting to see what the market considers to be the 'true' value of AFC at the present.

Ok thanks for that Daz, I’d misunderstood the original release then and so had not marked it down as a confirmed commercial order

I see in the release that it says “This includes the large Southern Oil refinery in Gladstone for which AFC Energy recently received its first commercial order and continues to work with on its hydrogen fuel cell initiative.” I wasn’t aware that we had confirmed this as a commercial order - I thought we were still in the discussion stage, albeit it looking towards a firm order. When was that confirmed then?

and it came across to me that AFC are very much aware of investor sentiments and opinions on certain matters. Credit and thank you to those who attended the AGM this week as I think you made a huge impact and raised awareness from the 'little people' backing the company.

Currently up 44% which makes a nice change. Cynical so n so that I am then is that on genuine sentiment or are the MMs pjaying around once again?

So to my mind AFC now need to deliver as they now have the product, partners and in a sector where there are and will be many opportunities. This should be the make or break year for board to repay the faith, patience and finance put into the company by the PIs.

Very interesting read, so look like things are moving along that little bit more. Wonder what reaction we will see from the market today? The RNS refers to the next step being to integrate the design into a mass manufacturer product, so I’m hoping that is sooner rather than later.

True but nice to see something on a traditional media platform other than interviews on Proactive Investors 😊 Good to see the name put out there, maybe with the expected increase in EVs then AFC have realised that they need to show themselves more than they have.

For those in the BBC South region there has just been a report on BBC Sout News about off grid car charging as being offered by AFC Energy. Think it may be repeated again on the late news programme, not sure if it may be available to view via Iplayer. Wonder with news if that means something more coming up soon?

Hi Bumble, so hopefully this means we will have some news in the near future confirming that the longevity targets have been met then :-) Which is a huge step towards the commercialisation phase

AB mentioned that they signed contracts tomorrow then the system would be capable of deployment into the market which made me wonder a couple of things.
Firstly does this mean that AFC & DeNora have now completed longevity testing on the latest design of plates to both parties satisfaction? If so would the longevity for something like this being shorter than the larger scale systems that we've been considering before? In addition I assume that DeNora were in agreement with this release as they will be implicated in the product performance

Agree with previous posters that he was more tempered in his responses and maybe he has learned from previous times and so is not as rah rah as we have seen before.

By the sounds of things delays with Southern are from their side and a reminder that AFC are only a small part of Southern's overall plan

Is that the MMs trying to keep it back in order to allow some of their friends to get or top up at this lower level before things really start to move upwards? I’m thinking that if the news comes that we think then the current price isn’t going to stay low under any manipulation or tinkering by the MMs
