The original poster has gone quiet so I can only imagine he’s soooped up some shares.
I imagine the dip at the end is due to worries about the inflation data tomorrow.
I’m not too fussed what happens to the share price over the coming months. I’m not looking to sell for at least 6 months anyway, and it doesn’t alter my view this will will reach my sell target of £2.50 within 12 months. What comes down, can go up just as fast.

There’s no need for NEX to pay down the debt. It’s carried this level of debt for 30 years, at higher than todays interest rates, when the SP was £5! It’s good debt, used for capex to grow the business.
While we’re on the subject of cube world, it wasn’t the debt that broke it, it was Netflix. People simply don’t go to the cinema anymore. There will never be any such threat to transport.

Typical poop and scoop. Obviously sitting on the sidelines praying it drops a little further before the jump in. If you really think it’s no good, why take the time to comment? When this turns, it will turn big time because all these *******s waiting around will jump in before it’s too late!

I’m really scratching my head as to why 2 of the shorts are still here. We’re at covid lows yet the company is in a much stronger position. Surely they can’t expect it to go any lower?

The only logical explanation I can think is that they have used the cash to go long on something else that they expect will outperform NEX short term. Possibly had an inkling on THG?

I think people really need to ask what this share will be in a year rather than what it will be tomorrow. If you think it’s a solid investment at this price, just go for it. A few pence cheaper is neither here nor there. You could be risking a 100% return in the hope of getting 105% return.

LG, Probably because it’s only people on this forum who’ve seen it. At least we have a flavour of what the trading update will say.

Busses will never be driverless. The rise in insurance premiums/cost of accidents/increased vandalism etc would outweigh the drivers salary.

Funny how people think it can’t go up when it bottoms, but then think it can’t come down when it’s up 150%!

Catching a falling knife doesn’t really worry me if I’ve bought substantially below the NAV and the company is solid. Sure, it would be nice to get in cheaper, but I think the bigger risk here is missing the opportunity. The debt isn’t an high, it was needed for capex, compare that with TUI for example who seem to have been borrowing just to stay afloat. I reckon the debt will wipe it out in the next 12 months. Wouldn’t touch it at any price.

Personally I would never buy a share that has been performing well recently. In my experience, the only way to make good money in he stock market is buy buying well established companies massively discounted. The cream always rises to the top eventually- and that’s when you get out.

I couldn’t comment. A little ironic don’t you think calling people greedy who DONT hold out for more.

Seen it countless times, good solid companies fall to covid lows and then recover at the same rate. In 6 months, I’m confident this will be at least where it was 6 months ago (£1.80+). Same happened with EZJ, MKS, IAG, WIZ, SBRY, TSCO to name a few!

Those same people are probably buying 888 now and they’d panic sell at a loss if it dropped 50%.

Nex was trading at £3.20 not so long ago. Since then the fundamentals have improved, the debt is no bigger. The only thing that’s changed is the investor sentiment because of macro issues. If you’d have bought in then when everyone was confident in 2021, you’d be sitting on massive losses. Buy when there’s blood on the streets and sell when the suns out. No matter what you try and forecast, you never know what’s just round the corner, as those confident £3 buyers found out the hard way.

Look how bullish this guy was, as were all the comments when this stock was at £3.17. The debt is no higher, the divi has returned, big contracts have been gained since, we’ve returned to profit, and yet here we are.

Is this your only stock paddy? I notice you only comment here. I’m about 70% in this. Wouldn’t usually go that far in but at these prices I couldn’t resist. Brought my avg right down too so I’m at break even now.

I’ve sold out. Whenever a company buys its own shares, the SP becomes artificially pumped. Look what happened to speedy hire.
