Looking good at the moment, breakout can't be far way. One can but hope! A few things to mull over for the weekend: I have seen the rise of cloud computing and things like customer portal software recently and wondered what you all made of these types of cloud technology. An example of what I am talking about can be seen if you look at client portal sites like www.clinked.com Is this game changing technology or not? Will it have an impact on the world of IT in general as it moves onto the cloud in future?

Hmmm, looks like the short was a mistake. Some real power in the recent bounce imo.

Does anyone have any views on £2+ anytime soon? What drivers will get us there? There seem to be many money / insurance type comparison sites such as www.justquoteme.co.uk offering small business insurance quotes and the like doing the same thing as Money Supermarket these days. If you look at what they are all doing it all seems much the same to me whatever specialist finance or insurance deal etc you are looking for. It doesn't seem to matter if it is Public Liability Insurance, car cover or Small Business insurance to me, no difference in the online portals. All views welcome as this is a quite board!

I am still waiting for 1750 here personally having been here a while. I have been checking out what TP's competitors are up to in their online tool stores. Screwfix, as we know, does really well online and Toolstation should do better imo. For comparables I looked at the aforementioned and a few various Makita and Dewalt combi drills, saws etc at other independant power tool sites like http://www.hmftools.co.uk/ From what I can see for Dewalt drills, Makita combi drills and to a lesser extent, Milwaukee hammer drills and Hitachi battery drills, we need to do a bit better. Apart form the cost of the power tools, the variety on offer elsewhere seems greater, such as at that HMF Tools site and Screwfix. What do you all think about this? TIA

I have been invested here in my NISA for 4 years. I was wondering about the BB Business model, does anyone know if road maintenance services such as Gritting, De-Icing and snow clearance are any part of their business? The reason I ask is because this area seems to be fast growing with road gritting nowadays being planned well in advance. It seems to me that it is becoming more important in terms of forward planning. This means that building relationships in local authorities, in government and in councils could help in terms of new road building business and not just road maintenance. There are many players already in the road maintenance sector but a quick look at one, that is specialised in gritting using its own gritting lorries - see here: http://www.de-ice.co.uk/ shows how relationships can be built with potential stakeholders. I think, as road safety becomes paramount, we will see more and more of these types of businesses flourish. I like the look of this business model and think that it would lead on to other deals for BB. If they get in at the ground level and involved with the nitty gritty of things like gritting then I think we could be on to a winner for future road building and maintenance deals. I think that in this way that this De-Ice company and similar ones seem to be showing the way. Any thoughts?

Having a few issues with HL's online investment platform too if I am honest ! I have been looking into setting up one of the new ISA accounts - the NISA - but worried about the cash element. I want a stocks and shares NISA and have been looking at Nutmeg http://www.nutmeg.com/nisas With the new £15000 annual limit they look well worth doing but at HL and Nutmeg, for instance, it's not clear to me what happens with the cash element and how that is handled. Has anyone got experience of this, I think Nutmeg specialise by offering a stocks and shares NISA. I want to setup a NISA this week to take advantage asap of this new investment vehicle. I like to dabble on AIM too but wonder how restricting these accounts will be!

Well, its the time of year again to be looking at maximising ISA investments due to the impending deadline so I have been scouting around the internet and, with regard to ISA Transfers, tried my own comparisons amongst different providers. I checked out first what HL are offering and then found www.nutmeg.com amongst other investment portfolio management companies whilst on my travels. They seem to have an interesting offering regarding ISAs which seems to put the customer in control but I wondered if anyone here had any experience with using them for investment management as they seem a young outfit and appear to use ETF's (Exchange Traded Futures) instead of directly buying stocks etc? I was looking to start a new Stocks and Shares ISA which prompted my post but at the end of the day want to give myself the best chance of investing in the best ISA regarding flexibility, charges etc. I have been with HL for some time, primarily for online Share dealing but it never hurts to check out the competition imo! We all want to be in at the ground floor with the best investments proving to not necessarily be run by any of these wealth management companies but having burnt my fingers over the last few years on AIM trying to get things right on my own I thought it best now to look at an ISA Transfer too as, frankly, things in my portfolio are all over the place at the moment which is difficult to manage with limited time! Any thoughts on this would be most welcome.

I have been watching the SP with interest thinking about adding again as it has come off the boil. The thing that makes me wonder, especially with online womens fashion, is that they must offer fashionable dresses and skirts that women want at the right prices. Do CWC do anything in the residential market at all, such as HDMI cables for 4K TVs etc? I was looking for cheap hdmi cables at http://5starcables.com/ and think I have some good comparables for the best hdmi cables there but just thought if 4K as a format really takes off then these guys will make a killing especially with high quality hdmi cables, hdmi splitters and the like. If they are not in this market should they be I guess is my question. Shoud they be in the same hdmi market as companies like 5Star - not sure if that would be good or bad myself to be honest. Any thoughts are most welcome as ever.

Looking to buy but wondering if ASOS is indeed getting toppy at the moment. The chart is nice but of course is bound by real results. I have been taking a look around whats on sale for inspiration too. Things seem samey to me, it may just be me though. FTSE250 would be great to see. I personally would like to see HTY doing better in the consumer AV electronics market. There are many potential applications such as both AV and high quality HDMI cable tidies etc as more and more connected consumer products creep into our homes. If you look at sites selling cheap HDMI cables such as http://5starcables.com you will see that the massive choice of HDMI cables available needs effective tidying and that appears to be becoming a major issue in homes these days with the need for TV's in every room. Tidies enable interference between HDMI cables and the like to be minimised thus delivering better conumer AV performance. Cable tidies are the way forward, in homes across the globe as emerging economies also purchase products by the million.

Are AZEM ever likely to get into the HDMI cable market. I see a big opportunity with the arrival of 4K TV technology for quality high end HDMI cables and the like.
