So as a proportion of debt to deficit can be controlled.

Next we must cut the deficit.

We can do nothing about the debt at this stage.

Once the deficit is equal to debt plus inflation per year.

Then ideology comes in.

You however I believe must continue to cut the deficit further, so debt becomes a smaller percentage when calculating the interest to debt ratio related to the underlying inflationary increase.

This must be smaller than the growth figure.

Only then can we relax spending, when we can control expenditure adjusted for growth.

Inflation is driven mostly by money supply.

Ask yourself what happens to money supply.

You cannot cut revenue so sharply and not have the means to service existing debt.

What happens is you become high risk.

Interest rates go up, and now the problem is bigger.

But it doesn't end there, because now business costs go up and any tax cuts are wiped out and then you are left with bigger government bills.

But in America they have had growth slowed and as you know these things are priced in ahead.

It should be neutral as short positions which are closed are closed because the shares are handed back.

Either the shorter has acquired them, so it's a neutral transaction, with fees and interest or they are short and need to buy more.

So when the short is closed it won't affect the price.
