RE: A question of trust24 Jul 2020 09:25
Welcome to the board sunnybne, good morning Grimbergen, you may well be right. But, I think I can explain the deviation. From memory you have been here as long as me, maybe longer. I first invested, when Andrew Martin was around, and we were an AIM explorer. In those days, the model, was find a decent size discovery, spend as little as possible and sell it. But then we had hole 5, early on in. Feels like the first five holes took such a long time, with our Donkey and two portable drill rigs. ( I think our donkey deserves, some free shares, as Solgolds hardest working employee, back in those days ). Something changed, and hole 5, meant our drilling program also changed, and we start to drill intercepts around hole five. Moving on, when Andrew Martin moved on and Nick Mather came in, I didn't understand, what was happening, and their was a lot of uncertainty around this share. But in hindsight, we can see the difference. We were going to become a mining company. Since NM joined, the message has been clear, nobody is getting this cheap. What does that mean. Well the language says, if we get full value, we will of course consider selling, but it's gotta be full value, or so close to it, that it makes no difference. No major, is going to pay full value. We would be looking at 2 pounds a share today, and if phattrader is correct and the PFS is 8-9 billion dollars, that's close to 4 pounds a share. We all know, that's not going to happen. So NM is effectively saying no sale. He is also saying, that to get full value, we are taking this to production, and against all odds, is getting there, stage by stage. He seems to me, to be a methodical thinker, that's my skill, if you like. I can see that he breaks tasks down, and executes them. I believe he's in situ, because of his experience in the mining industry, not because he knows how to construct a mine, but because he has the overall experience, in knowing the steps, and bringing in the right people to do the job. In short, we were destined to be a producer, after hole 5. None of us knew it, and indeed Solgold didn't know it, but the way the drilling program was altered in those early days, led us, to one of the biggest Copper, Gold Discovery's on the planet. That to my mind, is how we deviated, and I for one, have carefully listened, and try to find inconsistencies in what Nick Mather said. I find none, I consider him to be a man of his word, and he in my mind, will bring Solgold to production, no matter, what obstacles he encounters. After all, he has seen it all, and has a clear direction. All the best.
