Hi RICH3R, sorry but the bleeding obvious, is to proceed to production. All the evidence supports this conclusion, and nothing supports a bid.
First, look at the book, this is probably the largest impediment, as a bidder, has to talk to so many companies and get their agreement to sell their particular stake at below value. ( good luck with that one )
Secondly, we have appointed Citi to defend against bids.
Thirdly, we are not distressed, and can raise the money, as an independent company, and proceed to production. ( non distressed company's rarely get taken over ).
Lastly, after todays news, it would seem that the Franco Nevada deal, was not being held up, because NM was talking to BHP, abought a friendly bid. This was exactly what NM said, it was an unavoidable delay because of Covid.
I know this sounds crazy, but NM has played a straight bat, since becoming CEO, is it just possible, that he is telling the truth, and can bring this to production, and establish Solgold as a producer. What a wonderful swansong, that would be to his career. Not only building a company, to take forward, but to play no small role, in assisting Ecuador's economy, in no small way.
People forget, that people like NM are not motivated by money, but are visionaries.

That's more like it addicknt, your more affable self. I was a child in the 1960's and my Parents allowed me and my younger brother stay up, and watch Apollo 11 land on the moon. We used to tell jokes at school, about it, and that it would never happen, only a year before. Going to production is nowhere near as hard as doing something, that has never been done before. Today, we have knowledge bases, that generate highly complex builds and are continuously improved, from previous experience. We can build anything almost. With the right people. The only thing that will stop Solgold building the mine at Alpala is not being able to raise the finance. Entirely possible. But I firmly believe that we can achieve the level of borrowing required. Good morning Vipulk0301, we can't because the Franco Nevada money is ear marked for Alpala only, as that is their investment, and the other money in the bank, from our recent fund raise is for proving up the other tenements. When that runs out in 16 months, we will need to raise more funds for proving up, and at that point may involve some limited dilution.
Now here is a thought:
In 16 months time, we would have started building this, and maybe the limited dilution could be offered at a premium to any interested party, that was being nice to us, by providing the expertise in building the mine.
OK I realize that's a conspiracy theory, but what the hell, there is so many about with this share, who cares.

Colonel, please don't become a conspiracy theorist, we all value your posts. get back on the straight and narrow. To suggest that NCM and BHP, are talking to each other and manipulating the share price, is incorrect. BHP are a highly professional outfit, and would not engage in such tactics. Even without a standstill agreement. The London stock exchange is no longer the wild west, it was, when I started investing. Such behavior would be spotted, and acted upon, as this would be seen as stock manipulation, followed by a heavy fine, and leaving the company's reputation in tatters.

Good morning DBW, I see evidence of fund managers being interested now, just look at the share register, don't reckon, they are all holding personal client holdings. As for long term investors, sadly no evidence suggesting that, but we can live in hope. Whatever happens, today's news has helped secure a more defensive position, and that should please people on both sides of the argument. As it makes us harder to buy, and on we go to production, or it makes us harder to buy, so the bid will have to be higher.

Miagi is correct Colonel, nothing to do with suppressing a share, just no volume allows more trading, and you get an unrealistic price on small movements. If we had more volume like GGP, then we would get a more representative share price. Also if you are correct Colonel, that would mean that about half the listed companies in the world, are about to be taken over. Agree with a lot of what you say Colonel, but not on this point. Anyway today is a good day, going to grab a cup of tea, or I will be back up to 500 posts in a 30 day period, and that will make Zeros happy, so we can't have that. Interesting days to come.

Schlemiel, nothing to do with bots, look at the class of trade, very few automatic.

Of course AngHol. As I have said all along this is about volume of trades, we require 15 million s day, everyday, which represents 0.75% of equity. Remember, we don't produce any income. It will come.

I would ideally like most of this financed with bonds and loans. This is a great time to issue bonds, as rates are on the floor. Interesting times ahead.

Tiger, please don't take this the wrong way, but do you only post, when you are high drugs, that cause hallucinations. I cannot think of any other reason that could possibly support your argument. First of all excellent for investors, as we invest for the story. Not so good for traders, as some will get caught. It's not going to take years to get the PFS and DFS. The EGM has not been announced. And lastly this is bad for the share price, because we have had no dilution, and raised 100 million dollars, really . I do fear for the rest of your investments, if this is the type of criteria you use for picking stocks.
