Addicknt, I agree, that I am not a cooperate finance person. I bring other qualifications to this chatroom. I am a details man. I can evaluate, the constructs of a company, I understand how to value a company, I understand the factors that affect that valuation, in a positive or negative way. Hence why I am pretty sure, our current valuations are reasonably close. But whereas you think we will be brought out. I believe we will go further. So I look at the parts of the company, that we cannot yet define. Our future prospects. At the moment, I attribute zero value to these parts, but value will be attributed in the future. So NM will defend against bids, to allow this value to mature. If BHP or someone else want it, then the next six months is the time to bid. But it will not be a low ball offer, and we both know that.

You make a good point Italian. Yes we may get bids in the future, after BFS, but not now. But in the future, we will have more to offer the market.

addicknt, you have answered the question, by stating if BHP want Solgold, they will just buy it, which means a large bid. Same for anyone else, that wants to buy Solgold. They don't need to be out of standstill to make such a bid, also others are free to bid. But still no bids. Why?

Well said Talatum , as I have said many times, a diverse book, makes this hard to bid for. These companies are in competition with each other. If you want to bid for Solgold, you don't go hostile. In fact you don't bid. You try to increase your stake, bit by bit.

Must admit, this is getting boring. Can someone, please tell me, why no one has bid for Solgold up till now. And before anyone says it's because BHP are still in standstill. Just stop and think, and you will understand that makes no difference. The price is not going up, because we are expecting a bid, the price is going up, because we are getting the message out, that we are undervalued, and we have an expanding news story.

That's my point Miagi, but not 5% and 1 year, but 20% and two years, that takes about 27% of shares out the calculation, as no one can acquire them for 2 years, and with Tenstar, DGR's and NM's holding another 20%, making a bid in the next two years, not only unlikely but impossible.
Think what we would look like in two years time, we will be a completely different company.

Agreed Miagi, but that has been my argument for over 2 years now, the diverse book, is a masterstroke. NM has not let anyone control this. I don't believe that they will bid, without knowing what stakeholders, will give up their shares for what price. So no bid yet, if ever.
If BHP want Solgold, or a bigger share, then they have to start making private bids for blocks of shares. But the other parties know that, so they aren't going to get them cheap.
I saw a comment earlier on today, that BHP could acquire some shares, with another standstill agreement. I don't think we could count that out, as BHP get a bigger stake, and NM has a better defense at a higher price.

My point Shipright, is BHP could have an agreed bid at any time, they don't need to be out of standstill, but we have had no bid.

That was my point Miagi, it would have to be a hostile bid, so I don't think it will happen.
My reasoning is because they have been in standstill, they can only start talking to the other shareholders of the diverse book, hence nothing happening this year.as that takes time. Plus we continue to prove up more and more, so any bid, is a moving target, in the up direction. I think something else will happen, but not sure what.

I think the problem with Barrick bidding, is they could have bid any time, so won't be bidding now.
Are we really saying that BHP is going to go hostile, because that is the only way that BHP would bid after the 15th.
Because if it was an agreed bid, it could happen before the standstill expires.
So nothing has changed, but agreed next week is going to be interesting for different reasons.

Agreed Miagi, some do. I do engage with them, if I think they have something to add, but mostly get on with reappraising information as it's presented.

Hi Miagi, I am familiar with the terms, I just don't believe anyone takes any notice, most of us know why we are invested, and look at the whole picture, hence why I refer to them as uniformed posters.

Richy, come on please 1 pound a share, we have the PFS soon, and we are going to have a NPV of over 2 pounds a share, and that is being really Conservative. ( just for Alpala )
We may get 7-8 billion dollars at the PFS, at 8 billion dollars, that's a NPV at around 3 pounds a share.
NM will never recommend 1 pound a share.

Morning Nardiles, we have four studies to get to production.
PEA= Preliminary Economic assessment.
PFS= Pre Feasibility Study.
DFS= Definitive Feasibility Study.
BFS= Bankable Feasibility Study.

If you google each one, if gives you an idea, what each one gives you, also a certain percentage of the NPV is inferred, however doesn't always translate to the real world.
