I understand your points BNC, I am still positive. NM has done a sterling job, and deserves all our thanks. ( some of the posts on here that are abusive about NM and his strategy, have no idea about what this man has achieved for all of us, and no idea about investment ).
I believe he has stopped a takeover, and allowed us the chance to grow, Covid has held things up. Just imagine that Covid had not happened, we would be 18 months further down the line.
We need to halt bids, to keep allowing us to grow further, and start bringing Alpala to production.
Some people on here keep saying the first charge on a company BOD is shareholder value, and then in the same breath say they want a bid. Such nonsense, in order to get the best shareholder value, we need to bring Alpala to production.

Aruaz I suspect has looked at the Mexico situation and has said we are not going down that road.

Mexico exports it's Oil to the USA, but under the agreement, Mexico cannot refine the oil in it's own country, and they have to buy the refined product back from the USA at an inflated price.
To have the Copper processing done in Ecuador, is the industry that will deliver for the nation.

The only useful thing in broker notes, are references to things that have already happened. The price projections are never correct, and are always overdone. To invest you need to stay focused on the fundamentals, and look out for changes in RNS's. Do your own calculations, and continously assess. Also being aware of of past historic information is the difference between good and bad investment decisions. Don't be diverted by all the paraphernalia around the edges. Stay focused and don't be taken in by rumours. If the rumours turn out to be true, then back to reassessment.

Andywest what a daft thing to say, read the RNS's. Not one of them says we will be in production as from now. Also let me correct you, I have said that production is the most likely outcome, looking at the situation. If you read more of what the company says, rather than the speculation on here, you would understand that.

Smith_trader, sorry you are the one showing your innocence and nievity. Broker notes have been projecting Solgold at over 1 pound a share for the past 4 years. Just look at broker notes for any of the FSTE 350, they are rubbish. That's why I am good at what I do, and you are not.

Zoros, please keep up, broker notes are worth very little when investing. However 2027, we know is wrong, as that was written before we had the RNS telling us we are going to build it faster and cheaper, we need to now wait and see the timescale in the PFS.

Zeros it's none of the things you listed, for crying out loud. Where on earth did you find something that says production in 2027. I remember reading PFS to bring Alpala to production faster and cheaper, that doesn't mean 2027. We need to wait for the PFS.
If you want to know the reason for any price fluctuations in the Solgold price, I suggest you start looking at volumes traded, before any rumours.

Redknight if the primary purpose of the company was to maximise shareholder value.
Then in order to do that, they must turn down any bids under £1.50 and any under £2 after the PFS, as that would be selling the company for less than the NPV.
So to maximise shareholder value, they would bring it to production.
They would not sell it cheap.

Redknight do you believe companies should be run for short term gain, or the long game.

According to you, we have a world class tier one Gold Copper system.
But as a company, we cannot finance it.
As a company we cannot build it, and as a company, we cannot buy in the expertise to build it.

I can imagine you on a BOD, whatever company you served on, you would be saying OH NO, we have competitors, WHAT SHALL WE DO ! We had best sell the company quickly, as I have no clue on how to compete with a company bigger than us.

I know enough to know, companies don't think that way, and was lucky enough to have worked for a company, that was not one of the biggest, but because of it's people was successful, and developed some of the ground breaking technology that the world is using today, and more to come in the future.

Solgold is a company that is going to become a mining company, it does not exist to make us money.
It is an exciting investment opportunity that we are involved in.
No AGM was necessary, as the BOD could have voted NM out any time they wanted too, they didn't.
I see now evidence that NM thought he was a god. That is silly, so will not answer that.
You say we will definitely get a payday of around 60 pence, I agree but it won't be because of a bid.
The BOD would like the SP to be higher, but that is not their first concern, it is to run the company, and advance it to becoming a mining company.
Lastly to cover the point that the BOD collectively got him to resign.
You state this as a fact.
May I remind you that a fact is an observation that is directly or indirectly observed, please post the fact or facts, that lead you to that conclusion please.
We all have confirmation bias, but as investors, we have to keep that in check.

addicknt we always knew that NM was stepping down at sometime to bring in a block cave specialist.
The AGM was when it was, so who knows.
I agree NM stepping down shortly after the AGM, allows all the conspiracy theorists, to come out the woodwork.
But think about it from this point of view.

If this was such a disaster for NM, he would have been given a golden handshake, and he would have left the company.
That did not happen, and no doubt all the conspiracy theorists will make up reasons why not.

This has been a step in the natural evolution of the company, in becoming a producer.
We will continue to get a news flow that will support this evolution.

Like Redknight, could you please paste in any cooperate statement, that even gives any indication, that that is the case.
I would hope that some light is falling upon the situation, that no bid will be put forward this year, for just so many reasons, and if nothing changes, make any future bid unlikely as well.
But you carry on believing what you want.
