Looking at trades today looks like a failed ramp............they tried to see if they could invoke a rise and momentum..........failed as they purchased too small an amount of shares (need to do around 8m to 10m in the first hour to get things moving)...........

Trades today look like all that was purchased in the morning has been sold off during the day.

Logging normally takes 4 to 5 days.

You have to pull up the entire drill string. Then put the logging tools on. Run it all the way back down to the bottom of the hole and then do the logging run as you pull the string up.

4 to 5 days is very normal...........the deeper the hole the slightly longer it will take as there is more drill string.

And again, the reason many people were quoting accelerated drilling times back then was to shut up the derampers who were saying not enough time to drill, no time to spud, cancelled until 2019..............

SL-1 was drilled in 65 days. Then 5 days for logging on top.

2930 meters.

Average 45 meters per day.

Same rig, similar geology (just a few hundred kilometers away), same crew.............so why will WH-1 with the same rig and crew and geology be any different ?

Today is day 27............... 27 times 45 = 1215 meters................

So I will happily stick with 44 days of drilling, then 4 to 5 days for logging. RNS Monday 10th Dec or Tue 11th.

Yes, at that time Fundy, Yourself, Oiler87 and others were all saying Wild Horse-1 will never spud and will be cancelled and put into 2019.

So that line about Nighttime Ops was in reply to the many deramping "Nightime is too cold" - now we are drilling and people like Fundy and yourself can no longer lie about the weather and not spudding and cancelling to 2019........no need for the little white lies to shut you all up :)

Going with my 44 day drill forecast. TD reached Wednesday 5th of December. Logging run 4 to 5 days and RNS on Monday 10th or Tuesday 11th December..

The really cold weather is not until January/February. They will be fine drilling until late December if they needed to.

They have to wait until TD. No other choice. They have to do a logging run to confirm oil or water or fizzy water or whatever. No company can release real results unless they have done a logging run - and this rig has no LWD............so logging is run after TD...........will be the same as SL-1. Results after TD and logging done.

So those early buys this morning might have been as we are about to commence again after casing and going into the Main Target over the coming days.

Who knows.

Anyway, there should be a high volume day ahead this week or early next.

Got them slightly wrong earlier.........TD is 2000m and main target is 1200m.

So.........to put the drilling into context of 45 meters per day and compare to the charts............ See the below 2 pics.

Would suggest............. Upper zone struck oil or gas. Middle zone nothing. Lower target zone about to be entered or just started into it today.

Open both pics together.............pretty clear to me they seem to be doing the same as SL-1 and 45 meters per day average............ which means TD will be after 44 days and so logging results on around day 49 (or say 11th or 12th December for the RNS).

Comparing different rigs in different geology is not a good thing to do.............as I said..........Snow Leopard-1 gives and excellent read on how fast this rig can drill in this kind of geology.

Given the depth of SL-1 I would estimate WH-1 might average say 50 meters a day, or 1350 meters on day 27, or today just poked into the main target............ :)

Snow Leopard-1 is the best case to use.

That was 2930 meters drilled in 65 days and logged in 5.

So they managed 45 meters per day using this very same rig in very similar geology a few hundred kilometers away.

Based on that they are now on day 27 and at 45 meters per day average they will be at 1215 meters.

Main target zone is around 1360 meters.............so quite possible they are still as yet to enter the main target, or they might just have gone into it today ?

Geology Latino.

DT-9 was the 9th well. Loads of holes sunk means they know the geology very well and can drill fast.

WH-1 is the first well in this area, they dont know whats down there, they think its benign but are not sure. So they will be going slower. Any sign of geology they were not expecting and they will slow right down.

So this might go the full 45 days before TD is reached..........nobody...........NOBODY..........knows, apart from a few insiders who work for MATD and Sinopec.

Given many small oilers are crashing again today (AAOG minus 5.5%, TXP minus 12.5%, EOG minus 10%) and many are being sold, MATD has done well so far to hold up.

If we get a second wind later today with another round of buying and rising prices that will be a good sign............if there is more selling and it falls back to around evens on the day.......not such a good sign.

See what happens later today, really needs to get over 10 million shares traded volume to be maybe something.

Volume near 2 million in 10 minutes.........wonder if today will be a 10m or 20m volume day ?

Wonder if they have penetrated the main target ? Was due to happen this week imo.

Its very interesting at the moment. No big volume day recently. No constant selling of 100K blocks and 150K blocks every day like during Snow Leopard-1. All the sells appear to be just private investors reducing. Certainly gives hope that Wild Horse-1 is still in play and everyone awaits the wireline logging results, after they get to TD.
