It's great to ponder the possible numbers involved. Personally, my hopes are as follows:
£10 (2bn) - Nice
£20 (4bn) - Quite possible takeover start price
£40+ (8bn+) - Dreamland!
Staying patient and positive:)
A tenth of that and I'd be elated #early retirement!!
Chart, Schmart!! Not sure I get the whole chart thing, will leave it to those in the know. At the end of the day it's a binary issue - does it work or not? Safety is proven, ease of use is proven , there is more understanding of best timing of application, plus 'We know it works' is good enough to hold and be patient!!
I own this share convinced of the science, the journey so far, and the leadership. Prof Holgate is, in my opinion, an absolute legend. Don't forget that this is not just about Covid. SNG001 is agnostic, it doesn't attack the virus, it deals with the viral response and so its applications will last beyond Covid.
To name oneself Dumbpunter, you would expect a fair degree of self deprecating irony, and a well informed intelligent poster. However, the greater irony seems to be that the name is being lived up to.......
Woodstock, were you at St Trinian's when they stopped having a Head Girl, and you were identifying as a girl, so they had to accept you?!!!! #stpaulsschool
The long term applications for an approved drug are not just Covid related. Remember, it is 'Agnostic', and should work with many/all respiratory viruses. On approval, there will be more than one large Pharma after Synairgen. In this industry the numbers can be significant. Personally, I think anywhere between 3 and 6 billion is realistic, which equates to a share price of £15 - £30.
I know that things will come good, holding tightly. Remain astounded that government has not chased Synairgen and EUA was not granted last Autumn. Have contacted GB news to see if they could carry out some decent health journalism and investigate/report on Synairgen ( as well as Novacyt #crappyInnovatests ) :)
Yup, I reckon someone knows something.
I believe in the science.
I believe in the company.
I believe in its leadership.
I believe it will succeed.
Be patient, I'm hanging on to my shares tightly.
I usually balk at the stories of 'My granny knows a guy whose hairdresser says things are about to blow with a share' but.....a fellow shareholder friend mentioned SNG in passing to a finance guy, who said big announcement in next 2 weeks ahead of expected timescales. Not a ramp, but who knows, maybe our time is coming sooner than we thought!:)
Let's not also forget that SNG001 is agnostic. Likely to be effective against most, if not all, respiratory viruses. It is not just a Covid play, its application will run on after Covid, if there is an 'After Covid '.
222. The point about SNG is that is not just a Covid play. It is a broad spectrum agnostic anti viral which is very easy to administer. It has years of research behind it, is proven to be safe, and we are coming to the business end of trials with a great chance of approval. COPD trials were paused just over a year ago because the science of its potential effectiveness made sense. It only takes a bit of research into the company and its leadership to be convinced of its potential. I'm not sure Motley could be bothered to really look at all the evidence - I really wouldn't take much notice. A 2 billion market cap at £10 is a share is quite a modest value if it all comes good.
Man in a Suitcase always for me a track on Zenyatta Mondatta by the Police in 1980!!
When the second RNS about the dispute came out, I had a feeling that it was an approach which gets the negative RNS's out of the way before a positive news-rich period. This is an encouraging start which may back up that theory. NCYT is a well run company with great products, the share price will come good :)
Hi Brookr
Important to understand that share price is not what one should compare between listed companies as this depends on the number of shares in circulation. Market cap is the true comparison that should be made (together with turnover/profit). :)
True, but small investors are less likely to invest in a company with a high share price as any investment will be a multiple of that high number.
Worked well for Amazon!
Neil, share splits basically increase the number of shares in circulation while maintaining the value of the company - the market cap. So if you quadruple the number of shares, the value of each share becomes a quarter of what it was before. The benefit is really psychological - a cheaper share price makes it more attractive. Amazon has done it when the value of each share was really high eg 2000 dollars. It can give the share price more impetus, and the value therefore increases.
Faye, I'm not sure that you see the science and the big picture. The point of the drug is that it supports the body's viral response where that response is compromised. Hence those who report increased breathlessness benefit the most. This can help prevent hospital admissions and also help those admitted to hospital. One only has to look at India to see the potential applications. Also, it is agnostic - it does not attack covid virus itself, but deals with the body's response, so will be useful for people affected by any respiratory virus in the future.
Ah, auntiebob, an interesting comment! As a man with Welsh rugby blood, Marcus is the one player I put BT Sport premiership rugby coverage on for - really exciting to watch, can change a game in an instant. Should have been blooded on the international stage already, except Jones has caught the English disease of solid, reliable, boring and inflexible! :)
