It’s approval is doubtless - Australia is a mining-friendly country (as we a all know); one of its strategies is to become a bigger producer of copper; SML managed to obtain a rebate from the state government; and the PEPR process involves input from all stakeholders to facilitate it towards approval. Absolutely understand the BoD-related criticisms - but they become undermined when needlessly extending them to regulatory approvals.
