I am trying to get it clear in my head what the plan actually is. Am I correct in thinking that :
1. The previous operator is being paid to tell us who much it will cost to open LD/L.

2.We intend to finance this unknown cost from cash flows from LC.

Of course, any mining revenue is merely forecasted; however, it seems that the BoD - for whatever reason - seemingly have not provided clear costs and revenues for financing future development at Lynda/Lorna Doone deposit.

3. There is an increased likelihood that LC will be producing next year because the price of copper has gone up.

Even at lower prices, production has recently been slated for 2021 - the current, and predicted higher future, price increase the attractiveness of LC’s economics.

4.We do not have a PEPR for LC but we have had a nod and a wink that we could have one soon.

PEPR’s now been lodged with the relevant authority, which has intimated that it will have been approved before end of this year.

5. We do not have any finance to open LC.

Finance for LC, as per the previous LC-related RNSes, remains dependent upon a successful JV.

Samroy and DV, You both articulate valid points; the BoD’s previous two years’ mismanagement bodes not well for its future performance; yet, on the other hand, the RNS merely updates the current status of the PEPR - better to receive communication than not.

Tarry, Forget cash from the Brendagate scandal - it seems the market’s moved on from it; but any amount of it would be deemed a bonus. Everyone here now understands that the BoD have to deliver the strategy it set out a couple of years ago - one, to implement a second revenue stream and, two, to progress Redmoor into a profitable venture. As for Cobre, it covers our operational expenses while slowly increasing year-on-year revenue - and whatever people may negatively think of it, it’s quite clear that it’s advantageous to profit from a source of revenue, no matter what the arrangement.

DV, I completely understand the lack of faith in the BoD to deliver anything bar their over-bonused packages; however, they now - after a couple of years of over promises and ensuing strategic failures - have nowhere to disguise their future failings.

Could you explain your contradictory statement ‘ If the BOD cannot be believed then the price of copper is irrefutably irrelevant. If the co. assets were up for sale then the copper price may be relevent to the purchase price.’, please - I’m unsure whether you have scribed a deliberate non sequitur: if the BoD can’t be believed enough to partner with, then why would they be believed when trying to sell LC outright.

Seriously, folks, although I abhor the BoD for its ineffectiveness, misleading statements, and poorly executed strategy, some of the negative comments on here run into Benny Hill territory - funny a few times, but rather outdated after a few runs.

DV, I’m invested - I profess enough faith for them to finalise a deal that will benefit SML with two revenue-sources instead of our current, single point of failure; as I said to you before, the end of this year seems a reasonable time for me to assess their effectiveness - they have around four months.
