well spotted chan. it was a pity the massive opening rise wasn't kept up. however, the rally at the end suggests to me there may be more to come today as long as the tsx doesn't head sharply south again. Also those large volumes haven't just been over the last few days, but more like the last few weeks if they look at the charts! Lets hope there is no smoke without fire and they are ready to crank up production to meet new contracts. Roll on thursday (i hope).

i may be wrong, but I think if you use a nominee account through a dealer like barclays etc you may not automatically get share information sent out to you. i assume you would have to contact them and maybe they would be able to forward them on.

Held up very nicely on the tsx on friday. Hopefully we can get some good vibes from the results and conference call this coming week. Really hoping there may be some dealings with the chinese on the horizon. WTN is ready to increase output at short notice unlike alot of their competitors. That would certainly push us north.

So do we read that the shares in issue will now be 1billion and cyrus will own a further 1billion "b" shares which will not be listed but will entitle them to interest on them? it is all very complicated due to having to read through the jargon. If you get no answer by email, it could be worth giving paul williams a call. He has always been very open to discussing issues in the past.

Also am I right in assuming that with the 1b shares that will be in circulation, there will probably be substantially less floating around with cyrus locking theirs away, thus minimising the impact of the dilution in the mid term? One other thing that is very noticeable is the continuing rise in zinc prices. hopefully they will continue well into when the angel gets theirs out of the ground.

do you still see these as having any potential for the long term after the dilution? we know what greenland has to offer on the bigger scale, but will we be left with enough to make the investment worthwhile in your opinion?

is anyone on here intending to go to the agm in london? For those with a large holding relative to their worth, I would say it is an absolute must. I'm sure the board will get a bit of a grilling but if it's reassurance you want then that's definitely the place to go and get it straight from the horses (or donkeys) mouth. Hopefully they will point out how we are likely to increase the shareprice significantly despite the dilution.

As posted many times in the past i am and have been a long term holder in agu. After time to digest the rns this is my own take: i can't really see why people on various boards are now looking to jump ship because of the dilution. We all knew that after the previous main rns this was what was being proposed. From conversations with the agu board it has been made perfectly clear that cyrus do not want to own agu outright and it is not in their interests for the shareprice to lag at these low levels. Lets face it that they are an investment company and will want the shares to outperform. My biggest gripe with the company is that they say that if this deal was not on the table, then we were looking at receivership. This suggests to me why mr andrews departed the scene, as previous ventures were obviously a down right waste of time, and only secured the paying of their salaries for the last few years. The sharecast interview was a complete waste of time as the idea of the show is to pick a share which is going to soar in the space of a week. Not something agu were likely to do. Lastly, at these levels and with these spreads, there is little point in getting out of these now unless your entry point was about 2p as I dont see these dropping to sub 1.5p. And let us remember that the gold and black angel projects could be just the tip of the iceberg. So whether mr Hall remains in the long term or not, I think the call is to stay in here. I hope people make the effort to attend the gm

thanks for that sammy. however.......i'm afraid this is the same nick hall who was forcasting a general meeting in mid july. until/unless we get any official confimation of anything happening, be it the cyrus position or the greenland government position, then for me it remains the 12th of never. long term holder, but very frustrated at the boards long standing inabilities to step up to the plate (can't always be down to the other parties involved surely?). good luck all holders anyway, we certainly deserve it!

Its proving interesting at the moment that wtn are maintaining a position above the recent funding price. with the results and a conference call due in a couple of weeks time, bearing in mind the rising demand for steel, these are continuing to look rather tasty.

nothing to ramp on here mate. we all know its s**t or bust for these. the ramping was done a couple of years ago when mr winnifrith was tipping them up at the 20p level. after a little detective work this afternoon, i'm led to believe there is nothing untoward happening with the gold venture. two things i would like to know at the moment are: 1. what months were crew able to mine the gold due to the weather conditions, 2. are messers hall and williams in greenland at the moment? back to the cornish ale for the evening now i think

The last information I obtained was that it was the greenland government that was holding up the gold mine purchase as they were slow in transfering the licence from previous owners Crew Gold to agu. Delayed also because of the elections and change in leadership of the country. A point of interest is the dramatic collapse (along with a lot of other miners i know) of Crew shares which are traded on the tsx and obviously shows why agu were able to buy at such a low price. I have a feeling in my waters that things may at last be brewing here. Unless it was the cornish ale I consumed last night!

I think at the moment the safest thing is for us to assume that nothing is currently happening with regard to either the reopening of the black angel zinc mine or the gold mine. As I have stated numerous times I am a long time holder of agu and intend to remain so. However, at this time the agu board and company as a whole definitely have a credibility issue. Its right that they are not pumping out rns's due to the fact, in my opinion that they have nothing to put out, whether it be their inability to get things in motion or the Greenland governments incredible slowness rubberstamping the legal documents. Various people, myself included have been told directly by the agu board that general meetings, confirmation of takeover of goldmine documentation signed, agreement of the cyrus proposals etc, were all iminent and expected within days. This has gone on for months now and is to my mind getting rather ridiculous and increasing the credibility issue. I know these things do take time, but let us not forget that the available time to carry out major work within Greenland due to the harsh weather season makes things all the more critical. Hopefully this posting will be totally irrelevant shortly and we can get on with assessing this share for what it really is. Be it a golden egg or a rotten one.

the investors must be very confident on these. now a question of whether the funds are for geering up for the expected increased demand or for further acquisitions. maybe this is what has been filtering through to the market the last couple of days. makes todays opening even more interesting now.

getting to that time again. which way these are going to go is anyone's guess. one thing for sure though. in my opinion they will move at least 10% again, just a case of which way! Its all very nice rising to much so quickly, but as we all know with wtn, they can shift back down just as fast. but at the end of the day the fundamentals are surely in place here and we have so many positives to lead us onwards and upwards in the next 18 months. i bought the ticket so am intending to stay on board until it reaches its destination. probably into the hands of the chinese

anyone about with level 2 on these now? although still no news, its always nice to see some firmish buys going through. a nice 200000 purchase helps things along a bit. lets hope the greenland government has taken the top off its biro

huge volume on the tsx already. over half of the recent average for the whole day. i am just getting the prayer mat out of the loft in the hope that it can maintain its good work! at least its now breaking out from recent trading levels. maybe a bit of news has leaked out about china contracts or the like?!

will be interesting to see the open of the tsx today. i guess if these run as they have in the past, we can expect a sharp movement one way or another! on a positive note they closed at the intraday high with very high turnover yesterday. amazing to think that this time last year they had been on a run which took them from around 50p to over £5 in just a few months fuelled also by takeover rumours. wonder if they will resurface again as the chinese up production?

unfortunately these small rises and falls are completely insignificant. untill/unless we get some hard facts ie confirmation on the various projects etc then these will just drift on with the fair lady giving us the occasional glimpse of her potential wears. then the action would really begin and the volumes can get back to previous levels.
