The latest Investing Matters Podcast episode featuring financial educator and author Jared Dillian has been released. Listen here.
Hi Iaglongterm,
I’m afraid you’re mistaken, the Madrid stock exchange was open today, it’s also open tomorrow, Wednesday and Thursday but closed on Friday all day whereas the LSE closes at 12.30pm on Friday. This information is readily available by googling “Madrid Stock Exchange Holidays” , you’ll also be able to find the IAG share price in Madrid today by googling “IAG Share Price In Madrid”
Hi Chaps,
Just to let you know, IAG were up 0.44% on the Madrid Stock Exchange today, pretty sure we’ll have a good indication of the Wednesday opening SP on the LSE after tomorrow’s trading in Spain.
All the best and good luck to all genuine IAG shareholders.
Must confess Rox, I'm loving it too :) , reckon I must have something wrong with me :)
I've never posted regarding CARDS trade locally, my missus goes to our local out of town (Leicestershire) shopping centre twice a week (ish), according to her the Card Factory there has been extremely busy since the middle of November, happy days for us, not so for the Lombard Shorting Spivs :)
A final point Rox, you've previously extolled the virtues of being "strong and long" , it's a fundamental of investing and something I've always adhered to, there's nothing that the Market Makers and Hedge Fund Spivs love more than inducing panic among retail investors, they see us as cannon fodder, unfortunately for Lombard I'm getting the impression that the vast majority of posters on this board are made of sterner stuff, long may it continue.
Cheers, good luck and all the best, Paul
Hi Chaps,
The way I see it is that Lombard gambled on a December lock down and they've come unstuck, they're essentially gambling as we are, except that they're punting in the opposite direction.
My feeling is that they've messed up in a big way and are increasing their short position in a desperate attempt to apply pressure on retail investors to sell thus minimising their losses.
I for one won't be giving Lombard the opportunity to escape without some battle scars, quite the opposite in fact, every time they force the price down 3-4% from the previous days closing price I'm adding to my holding.
I'm guessing that Lombard will be very keen to reduce their short position before CARDS trading update on or around the 14th January, that's only 14 trading days from now, if retail investors hold strong they're going to get burnt, have to say i'd love that, in fact it would be truly wonderful! :)
All the best and good luck to all investors (apart from the Lombards fund manager :) )
Many thanks for your recent Menzies updates Kisboy, they're very informative and much appreciated.
Good luck and all the best to all long term holders.
Hi Lovelace,
I'm holding 130,448 shares at an average of just under 57.5p , like you I'm fed up with the MMs price manipulation, when it hit a buy price of 50.1p this morning I invested another 10K , roll on the January trading update :)
All the best and good luck to all long term holders.
The IG Weekend FTSE 100 are rising rapidly :- https://www.ig.com/uk/indices/markets-indices/weekend-uk-100
"There will be no bounce of any significance to exit..either sell at loss or lose more"
Another gem from the Oracle, never was a user name less appropriate.
I'm guessing the 1953 part is its birth year, just another sad retiree with nothing better to do than posting messages on this board, I'm guessing he's hiding from his wife in his potting shed as we speak.
Oracle1953:-
"They will not let you get out this will be sub £1"
I think you'll find that it's very easy to sell IAG shares at the current price due to it's extremely high liquidity which is patently obvious when you look at the miniscule spread between the buying and selling price.
It's people like you that have ruined this board with ridiculous unfounded comments, it's funny that you only appear on red days, why don't you do all the invested posters on this board a favour and go and play somewhere else.
All the best and good luck to all long term holders.
I think the SP was forced down by the MM’s early doors today in anticipation of a possible lockdown in Germany, when Bild announced that wasn’t happening this afternoon the SP rose (along with other cyclical stocks I hold). I think the panic in the market was that where Germany lead the rest of Europe follow, happy days that they’re pushing the “get vaccinated” narrative now :)
Hi Richie,
Amiral Gestion have reduced too, by 1.2% of the company, the drop in SP is understandable now.
I’m not concerned tbh due to the fact that Hyve raised 29 Million last Thursday to facilitate the purchase of 121 Group & 121 Partners from institutional investors and “ Strategic Value Partners “ at an average of approximately 110 per share, sure does make the current price look very cheap (I purchased a good chunk today at 104) , fingers crossed the results on the 16th Dec
are favourable.
All the best and good luck to all long term holders.
Hi Convb,
I think the Preliminary announcement of Annual Results will be around the 9th of March next year (that was the date this year), like you I’m expecting good things, particularly from the cargo side as the prices are sky high at the moment.
All the best and good luck to all long term holders.
