message to all shareholders i currently run a pub and this morning recieved from punch a present was it a xmas card a diary a free keg to buy the customers a drink NO it was a stupid glossy brochure that had been produced to improve trade over xmas best idea they could come up with was have a xmas tree decorate pub with tinsel lite a real fire if you have one and host a x factor night Just about sums it up 15 years ive dedicated to my pub and thats all punch can offer FUC-ING STUPID

Sh-t company Sh-t share 42 pubs closing per week vat rise in january mortgage rates going up less disposable income per head dark nights coming were running out of time companys total asset value dropping by the second and alcohol more damaging than cocaine HELP RESCUE US

Currently us tenants are finding conditions very challenging punchs managed houses are showing signs of improvment through the following reasons 1 they have cut wages to the bone 2 these sites are generally in prime locations 3 punch have spent money giving them massive promotional support and 4 spending money on refurbs . Let me say when these corrections in the licensed industry are over punch will have approx 5000 sites in total down from the highs of 7500 sure if you are willing to hold these will come good eventually

Well the world cup and the long sunny summer hasnt improved trade or sentiment in this sector share price remains fixed in this band for sometime now so cant see a cold dark winter of discontent improving this this year or next roll on 2013 if we can hold that long

Hi how very frustrating this share is but the whole markets really are going nowhere are they. pub was very busy wed and will be sunday but even though the budget was ok for pubs in general main problem still exists its too expensive to drink out punch charge too much for their beer and rents all too high so only anserwes are 1 change the countrys culture back to visiting pubs and not doing other things with their free time or 2 punch reduce their costs to us landlords and pubs will stop closing at the rate of 42 per week but that would reduce their profits so difficult times ahead seems to have been below a £1 now for ages sorry for the gloomy forcast

Hi yes things been better this week , hope England stay in long enough for some good profit main problem is dam supermarkets 24 cans fosters for £ 10 etc etc still think it will be a while before trading conditions improve

Still no sign of movement conditions remain challenging this is going nowhere till next summer at least

Hi pub is in ongar Essex, 1 Trading is just as difficult as this time last year, still not alot of confidence in the financial outlook of the country , one major major change is that people that use to pay with credit cards are now paying in cash or debit cards which says people are only spending what they can afford and attitute to spending has changed 2 companys major problem is the debt, they cant afford to increase rent much more as tennants couldnt suffer it and as a lot of pubs are struggling some are being offered on peppercorn rents just to get them back open the ones they want to sell to property developers are also not moving untill the building companys start building so all round not a happy situation think everything needs to bottom out first think this time next year my buisness manager says if they lose 30% of their estate when the recession is over the surviving pubs will be stronger and the company although with less pubs will be stronger , hope this view helps in your future planning of these shares im currently looked in but will be holding for a few years on this one

I like your positive thoughts , but i can assure you running these pubs is as hard as ever lets hope your thoughts come true think we might need to win the world cup for pubs to start prospering again too much personal debt around

Well its not going to be £1.50 by xmas then !!! as some have suggested, but we must all be positive 2010 will be challenging for our pub trade, my punch pub is doing ok to just survive , thats what my BDM keeps telling me , think punch could well lose 30% of their estate when this recession finally comes to an end. But dont anybody expect this SP to rise much untill next summer ( just my opinion) also havent seen much positive news around about Punch , neither have i seen many pubs improving recently.

Only thing that worries me about pub is the takings theve been quiet good since last week but im trying to screw a better deal off of them i like to play hard ball sometimes . do you still think PFD & PXS are bullish for a while ? Whats your view on YELL after todays events. Did laugh last friday night about gang bang quotes , went to bed with smile on face LOL

Hi cute, hope your ok, Xmas is cancelled this year , no money left for presents, all tied up , !! IN stocks not stockings, waiting for a few investments to turn positive, pub not looking good , new area manager coming on thursday with an offer for me to stay. PS I dont believe in santa but as for your charts you could fill my sack anytime X

Not all the terms yes rent i agree, but beer etc is set at what price the company deem to be appropiate in certain market conditions, so when they give us a price increase they feel is fair ,theirs nothing you can do about it. They have made unresonable price increases to offset the shortfall in rental income due to a number of pubs closing or not being able to meet the rents. The banks have lent punch shed loads of money to purchase all these pubs and want the interest payments . Funny old world look at this senario Government inflict all these rules upon us NO SMOKING , NO BINGE DRINKING etc then pubs close all over the country 52 per week Punch etc fail to repay banks ,so banks take back their assets ie pubs but guess what Government own a few banks or should i say us the taxpayers.

Not everybody is in a position to buy their own pub, the same as renting a house i guess, but when your landlord ie PUNCH dont want to play by the rules and charge 100% yes 100% more for the same product as your neighbouring pub buys it at you cant sell it at £2 apint can you. My earlier comments on here yesterday was to advise people buying into this share that all is not well in this industry so dont expect to much

Just for information only and not deramping. My punch pub has never seen trading conditions as bad as what they are now been in pub for 14 years and last week wanted to give up tenancy but area manager is pleading with us to stay and see this period through but all sighs are not good so i wouldnt expect great returns at present posted in good faith
