No-one can deny the need for greater energy efficiency. How ever we are going at it to fast when the UK is buckling in all directions

EZJ does seem to struggle to keep hold of it's gains but will come good as it is a good airline,

The bonds yield do damage to shares plus EZJ have shorts under 5% so will take price down to unwind

All the headroom in Rachel Reeves' Budget plans has been wiped out by higher debt charges.

On Friday afternoon the yield on ten-year gilts – UK Government bonds – shot up almost to 4.9 per cent, its highest since 2008.

I expect yields to go above 5 per cent and, unless they come down dramatically in the next couple of months, the Chancellor will have to break her fiscal rules, increase taxes, or cut public spending.

She can't do the first, as that would further undermine confidence in her. The markets already think she is out of her depth.

Policies designed to fight climate change 'probably' had a bigger impact on the inflationary upheaval of recent years than expected, the Bank of England's deputy governor has said. Breeden told an audience at the University of Edinburgh Business School that the rise in wholesale gas prices coincided with a 'material' increase in the cost of carbon.
