Mondays are usually pretty volatile like happy hour at the Arm's just after the dominoes matches in yestermonth. Still, we have ordered new 'yards' for the Tizer which are not two metres from the glassblower.

I'm in Inverness ;( There are plenty of trades/ lorries on the roads now but the centre is still like a ghost town. Meeting a friend later and we'll be sitting in a bus shelter with out coffees. At least the weathers warm.

Strangely enough the sp slowly drops from about midday. To my mind traders are preferring not to hold over the weekend in case bat-soup virus breaks into a second wave. If it tanks again it's another chance to snap up these beauties.

Rocky time some profit/ taking and stop scooping by the mm's while the market is having a another migraine. No more second wave stuff on the BBC site front page, though Bloomberg has a bit on the front page. Sp looking interesting and not all doom and gloom (so far anyway). Strong trade volume. Folks big and small are buying the dips by the look of it given the strong rebounds. With bond yields ultra-low and new multi- decade offerings comping out recently offering 1% or less everyone and their dog is looking for (in short) strong-ish companies with plenty mileage.

The need for trade and business will move up even with virus flare-ups. Excessive fearmongering nonsense media 'reports' now factored in imo. Next few weeks critical however as shops reopen.

Confidence certainly growing- though maybe more folks are day trading so they don't get caught if the much discussed 'second wave' hits ! Our trade vol has certainly jumped and spread gone all lo-fat. Interesting. GLA

kenniGT: Had to laugh- my pf is £98 after the the likes of VOG, a few months of spreadbetting indices and poor tradingall the way back to Northern Rock and Marconi. I started with £5k and my low was £25 here at PMO. A heroic injection of £45 (wife wouldn't allow more) made 55p average here from 82p now.
My personal lesson: Don't listen to the cheery 'broke'r reports (a Buffettism), oh. and find a wife who doesn't think the Stock market is the devil's own work (however i'm certain she wouldn't mind to spend any (hopeful) gains on a new kitchen etc).
Still, it's my only 'vice' and a damn enjoyable one at that. ATB

We certainly zoomed through par 50. Given the second wave threat i didn't expect too much but was proved wrong so far. Up we go.

No further cuts made at the last Opec+ meeting. Focussed on the 'laggard' countries. Maybe some traders were betting on more cuts hence the flattish price for the past few days. Things should head up again now Brent is on its way up again after a bit of volatility imo.

Nice one kenniGT. A substantial drop in shorty will be on the tick list of punters big and micro wanting to get in here. Then again it didn't stop folks coming in all the was up to ~119 before the fall. The next few weeks may just reflect that (as long as the market follows this logic lol). GL

footsie down ~2.6% , but fine, we expected a correction sooner or later. Volume is incredible, lots of new players (and 'bots probably) who were waiting for the arcm to put a cork in it.

Surprised to see a blue finish. The gulls have been good to us. But then we have a more sustained brent and pmo's new stability.
